Do you know that we can create static webpages using Microsoft Word? Ofcourse we can. Many of us don't know this fact. Its really simple and easy to design a web page using Microsoft Word.

Just follow these simple steps. And its All Done.

Step 1

This is the most simple step of all. open Microsoft Word. Any version of Word can be used. This process can be used in all version of Word.

Step 2

By default Word opens up with a blank document in the Print Layout mode. Change it to WebLayout by selecting the option from the View menu. You can also edit the page in Print Layout. But ultimately when the page is saved it might give some misalignments. To avaid them its better to work on your pages in WebLayout.

Step 3

This is the hardest step for everyone and You need to include more efforts in this step. You have to design you page in this step. When designing your document don't think of it as a Webpage. Think as if its a Word Document and Design it. Include as many special effects as you want. Word will take care of implementing code for all the special features for you.

Step 4

Now save the page. While saving make sure to choose the "Save as Type" as "Web Page". This ensures that you are saving your page as a HTML file.

Also note that unlike other simple HTML files, a new folder is created after you save the page. The name of the forlder will be similar to the name of the HTML file. This folder contains the scripts and images for the special effects used in the website. So when you move or copy this file make sure that you move or copy both the HTML file and this folder together. Else some effects will not work properly.

Step 5

Now this is the final step. Goto the location where you saved this file and open it in a browser. Now you would see that the webpage is delivered just as how you deisgned in Word. Its easy isn't it.

A Final Word

Though this method is easier to use. It cannot be used for creating large number of webpages. Also the webpages created with this method are little more than in size due to the presence of some reduntant code included by microsoft. So this might make the pages load a little slower on very slow lines. But it won't have any impact on high bandwidth networks.

One thing its best for is to design 2 or 3 simple pages faster. Apart from that for all other means I would suggest you to try specialized software.

Interesting....I had NO idea you could do that. I suppose you could post independent affiliate links on it once you are finished?
