A Few Basics to starting an Internet Business

What is it you want to do with the internet?  Make additional income, start a business, or maybe just try to do something different.

 

Well, the internet is there to assist you.  Yea, so are the few thousand internet entrepreneurs that are trying to get you money.

 

If this is a new decision on your part my suggestion is that you go to the book store fin the business section.  Now look for a few books that contain the subject “internet marketing”,” internet business”, or “work from home”.  Thumb through the books and make some notes on the pad that is in your back pocket or purse.  I should have told you to get a cup of coffee or tea first.  This will be a long hour or two.  Your goal at this seating is to understand the basics and some of the new words.  This is no need to purchase any of the books today.

 

Now get to your computer and starting searching for the information you have in your notes through the search engine you use (Google, Yahoo, Live MSN, or any other).  This is one that has some interesting information.  Read through the information you find.  This could be a project for a cold wet weekend.  You will probably be looking at information for 8 to 10 hours.

 

You are now armed with enough information to be dangerous.  Some simple start up facts to keep in the back of your mind:

There will be some start up costs to do this; it should be below $100 total

-         You will need to get a domain name, about $10.00 for the year.

-         You will need to have a hosting site,  about $7.00 per month

-         You should look to a group (internet entrepreneurs) that will provide you with a step by step process to help you create a website and give you some direction as to what you can sell.  You should be able to find one for less that $50.00.  Here are two products to look at:

o       One is a free product that will help you start up your internet business. With a full step-by-step process

o       The second explains multiple strategies to be used in your internet business.  This covers 22 processes that you could use in your business.
