Well I have heard of many ways to annoy Telemarketers. One is to pick up the phone and answer hi then as they go in to their spiel set the phone down and walk way. Though if you just go to your phone company and have your number blocked it would get the same results for a while. However, this person really did a number on this telemarketer. Then again, you could get their name and company then write them or tell that person to remove you from their lists. So many ways to handle them nicely or rudely. My father always picked it up then acted as if he was yelling at my mother and slapping her around. The person would stutter that maybe this was not a good time then hang up. Never to be called again. Though my personal favorite is to screen my calls and on my answering service

"State that if you are family you know what to do. If you are a collector then you need to leave your name and ext number or you will not be called back. If you are a telemarketer hit number 9 x5 and that is your answer (long pause) Oh and remove me from your list. "

There are many more ways to get rid of telemarketers or to get them to not call back. I have left many a rude messages for them telling them to take a hike I am not interested.

Have some fun with them but do try to remember they are just doing their jobs. Shoot most of them would like the break from the phone being slammed down lol.
