Creative Writing for the beginner

Start to WRITE
I have been writing hubs on health issues because I am living with health issues. Today I am changing the pattern to include the other loves of my life-- writing, art, and the way I have found a way to combine both. This hub addresses a question that I have answered and still keep answering to aspiring writers. How do I get started?
"I always write a good first line, but I have trouble in writing the others." ~ Moliere
That quote is so true for many of us, and for others who have never written the first line although they had stories to tell. The hardest step---that first line. Where do I start? Do I need special educational qualifications? It gets easier because three things can get you started on your writing career:
1, A pencil
2. A pad
3. An idea
The good news is that you can be a very creative writer even with limited literary skills. When you read a good book, you are looking at the finished product just as watching a movie. You never saw the many takes while shooting, just as you never saw the first draft and the many rewrites before that perfect piece. Your approach has to be to get everything out while it's in your head without any consideration for syntax or spelling in your first draft. Think only of you and your characters as there will be time for editing your work.
Always write with the expectation to rewrite You will see things you would like to change every time you read your work. At times it may be frustrating but your passion will make you recognize your writing growth even before it leaves your hands. Another tool to help you get started is finding the right setting for YOU. In choosing your setting it has to be where you feel most comfortable. Whether it's by the lake or sitting on a park bench, you need to find what suits you best and go for it!
When I first started writing, I discovered that my creative juices were flowing better at night when all were asleep and there was a feeling of solitude. I would sit at my pc with headphones on listening to my favorite music while I did a sketch. I also found that I needed clear space around me as I could focus more in the absence of clutter. That was my ideal setting!
There are some sacrifices that go along with writing. Having that passion, you will have to give up friends and family activities towards your solitary journey. You must be dedicated regardless of the odds and believe wholeheartedly in your writing ability.
My hope is that you have gained some knowledge as a beginner to take that first step. If you are a seasoned writer looking to recharge your muse, then I hope this was the nudge to make you get up and start to WRITE.

Great motivation!
I love how you compared the process of writing a book to making a movie. There are lots of takes, retakes and frames left on the cutting room floor. Writing, rewriting and editing are just as critical in writing. Great hub. Thanks!

Very good and encouraging thoughts for the hidden writer in most of us.
