Dirty Rotten Strategies Revealed
It's dirty, but it's fair.
Who can survive that 20% annual interest rate of credit card?
That's more than robbery. That's why we are gonna apply this dirty rotten strategy.
Just do it.
Take advantage of the Grace Period
Grace Period
-
A credit card's grace period is the time the customer has to pay the balance before interest is charged to the balance. Grace periods vary, but usually range from 20 to 40 days depending on the type of credit card and the issuing bank. Some policies allow for reinstatement after certain conditions are met.
-
Usually, if a customer is late paying the balance, finance charges will be calculated and the grace period does not apply. Finance charges incurred depend on the grace period and balance; with most credit cards there is no grace period if there is any outstanding balance from the previous billing cycle or statement (i.e. interest is applied on both the previous balance and new transactions). However, there are some credit cards that will only apply finance charge on the previous or old balance, excluding new transactions.
Approx. Revenue Proportion of the Credit Card Issuer
- interest 70%
- commission charged from the merchant 25%
- default penalty 5%
As we can see, the last two sources are fair enough, while the first one seems not. Why? There's no problem in collecting moderate interest, but is 20% annual interest rate fair? No!
After we have applied the dirty legal strategiesto reduce the current credit card interest rate to around 10%, we can proceed to something new down below.
Take advantage of the Grace Period!
Let's say the average grace period is 25 days.
Suppose the payment day is the first day of every month, so the dead line should be the 26th day of every month.
Let's say you are paid monthly, and your monthly average expenditure is around $1500.
Every time the payment day (1st day of every month) passes, we move to the 2nd day of the month, we consume as usual, of course, the up limit should not exceed $1500. Buy anything you need as usual, in the supermarket, daily consumptions, pay the bills, anything. And this amount of debt will be honored the next month between the 2nd day and the 26th day.
Let's say you're gonna pay that credit card debt on the 15th day of next month, but you have already spend another $1500 on the 2nd day of next month. What it means?
It means you can always spend $3000 while only have to pay $1500. You always in debt, and you always pay on time. You get good credit score. You get the cashback from the bank. You always keep that $1500 which belongs to the bank. You always owe the bank that money. The bank is always happy about that. Clear?
I think I have make it clear enough. Of course, only $1500 is not enough, but money is money.
Remember, always try to pay via your credit card rather than cash. Cash won't get you any cashback, credit score. Remember!
Own Two Credit Cards from Different Issuers!
Why two credit cards from different issuers?
If you do so, you're gonna have two credit cards with different payment day. It's crucial.
If you do that in the same issuer, you'll get two cards with the same payment day, which is not desired by us.
While the payment day is set randomly. If the two payment days are too close, no matter, there're hundreds of credit card issuers out there awaiting.
Just cancel any of them and apply from a third issuer, until the ideal payment days have been met.
Then, again apply the super grace period strategies offered above to make the perfect cycle.
You have two time periods to consume since you have two credit cards with two distinguished payment days.
Does that make any sense?
