Credit card, how to get yours
48When you start to get your own salary and money you start having another type of costs. You have more money, you spend more money. Usually you start to travel more or buy things via internet. In these situations and loads of other a credit card is always usufel. But we usually don’t know how to get a credit card. If you’re young and have no credit history you need to create a credit history so you can get a credit card. If you are older you can have a bad credit history and you need to re-establish a good credit history. Normally that is achieved by always paying your bills on time and keeping your debt-to-income ratio low. A good income is always a step closer to get a credit card approved.
Your first credit card approval will depend on your bank account
history. The bank will check if you get a consistent income every
month, if this is from your salary and if you have any periods with
negative debt. If you are yong your will probably have a short banking
history that can lead to a denied credit card request.
Also it is important to have some bills on your banking account like
telephone, house rent, water or gas. This will tell the bank you pay
your bills on time and never had problems.
If you had credit problems in the past you should restore your payments and wait a couple of months. After that the bank will see you don’t have any more problems and can give you a credit card.
The basic qualifications to get any type of credit card are as follows: (1) you must be at least 18 years old; (2) you must have a job or income; (3) you should have a checking account and a savings account just so you can check “yes” on the credit card application where it asks you if you have these accounts; (4) you should have a telephone in your own name; (5) your monthly expenses (rent, car payment, insurance, etc.) shouldn’t eat up more than half of your monthly income. To qualify for a Visa or MasterCard, one must usually have at least an annual income of $12,000 or $14,000.

One of the things I don't like in credit cards is the amount you have to pay per month (or year). If you do not pay attention, you'll be spending money that you didn't use.
However, when you don't have the money and you need it... yes, its worth it :)
