Credit cards are very important today because there are just to many things that can be done through a credit card - things like buying stuff online, paying bills online and much more. If you don't have a credit card all this oportunities are down and it's harder for you to make simple things like this, online. What you have to know is that there are companies that also offer you a credit card no matter that you have a poor credit, and that's a good thing for you to hear. Sometimes it depends on the type of credit card that you're getting and there are cases where companies don't look at the credit card history when you're apllying for a card.

There are two types of credit card, each one having advantages and disadvantages, things that I'll be talking below and help you with more informations:

Secured credit card and poor credit

One of the ways in which you can get a credit card and having poor credit is to get a secured credit card. The basic thing about secured credit cards is that you need to put some money - a deposit on the card and be sure you're going to pay your bills on time if you want to see your initial deposit again. The initial deposit could be up to $500. You have to be carefully when choosing your options, rather than do things fast because it's not going to help you at all.

This type of secured credit card can be used with poor credit and it can be used like any other card, used to make payments online or to pay any other stuff online - we're in the online era and we mostly need a credit card to do certain stuff. One of the coolest things about this is that there are companies with online websites and it's more easier to get the credit card rather than just going to the bank and waiting for approval.

One other method that you can use to re-establish credit is that you have a friend you trust and ask him to add you as an authorized user to the credit card - the basic idea is that you have to trust your friend that is going to make his payments on time in order for you not to have any more problems with poor credit.

Unsecured credit cards for poor credit

One other option you have when having a poor credit - bad credit because of a low credit score, it's to get an unsecuerd credit card - in this case you do not need to let a deposit on the card. It's easy to have an instant approval if you already have another credit card or have a job and an income to show that you're responsable to have a credit card. When a company sees that you already have a card it's easier for you to get another card from another company. This can also help you to get a good credit again if you pay your bills in time and you don't pass the credit card limit.

Basicaly an unsecured credit card for poor credit is not atached to something that is yours, something that the lender can get from your without your permission. In this case you have to know that there are fewer that are going to give you this because you basicaly need a good credit to get something that is unsecured - the risks from the bank are bigger with you having a poor credit.
