Your Only Limitation Is Your Imagination...

So, you found that killer Cricut expression deal and now you need something to do with it. Running of out ideas is clearly not part of the plan when you own a Cricut machine. With Cricut, you’ll get tons of creative ideas to design your latest scrapbooking project. You can also make use of your Cricut Expression machine to cut out designs for other projects aside from your scrapbooks. If you are obsessed with paper crafting and scrapbooking, then you will find that there are so many ideas to play with using your Cricut machine, a few of your favorite fonts and shape cartridges, and some pieces of craft paper.

Designing Your Scrapbook

Designing your scrapbook takes a few simple steps: First you need the basic idea for the whole project, the reason why you are building a scrapbook in the first place. For example you are making a scrapbook out of your most enjoyable trip to Disneyland with your family and your kids loved taking pictures. It would be a really easy task to put together a scrapbook when you have dozens of pictures to put into it.You will need to decide on what font to use, what shapes to decorate the pages with, and what embellishments or other decorative elements you will need to put to make the scrapbook more delightful to browse through.

Different scrapbook designs are called for on many different occasions. The most common ideas would be to make scrapbooks containing your children’s school life or your own school life using your Cricut machine and cartridges. Read some Cricut Cartridge reviews to get you started on which ones you might want to look into. There is a whole world of Cricut cartridges to delve into.

You can create scrapbooks out of any seasonal occasions such as Christmas, New Year, Valentines, Saint Patrick’s Day, Independence Day, and many more. You can also create scrapbooks about your own occasions such as wedding anniversaries, your child’s graduation from college, Grandpa’s retirement party, baby showers, and all the little events in people’s lives that will never be repeated once they have passed by. So it is a great way to make scrapbooks because not only do they let you see those pictures upfront whenever you want to, but they will also preserve those memories in a nice and artistic manner. There are plenty of Cricut Cartridges to choose from for these projects.

Another idea is to design your own custom greeting cards and thank you cards. Nothing gives a personal touch like sending a one of a kind card to a friend or family member. You can get some great ideas for card designs from this site: Free love ecards. Let you imagingation run wild, you don't need a traditional design either, make it as unique as you!

The Most Important Scrapbooking Tip...

Have Fun!!!

In every Cricut project, the most important tip would be just to have fun creating different projects and you will get better at them which will bring out more ideas as you move along. Provo Craft is always coming up with more and more exciting new cartridges of fonts and shapes, and other cricut accessories that may enhance the experience of using your Cricut machine and develop more artistic ideas.

Include Your Kids!

Not all children are artsy-fartsy, but if you have daughters who like being creative with their notebooks and journals, you can create for them personalized notebooks or journals using the Cricut cartridges. Create notebooks by getting old notebooks and replacing the cover with your own Cricut creations. Emboss your daughter’s names or whatever words or phrases they want to put as a cover title on their notebooks or journals and use different colored craft papers or scrapbooking embellishments to bring out the individuality in each of your finished projects. Have them help you design their classroom projects using the Cricut machine which can safely cut out shapes and letters for them, instead of worrying about who among your kids are going to get a cut from using scissors.

Scrapbooking and doing arts and crafts with your children is a great way to make projects and keep your kids safe. There's no repalcement for quality time spent with your children like that. It will make happy memories that will last a lifetime, for you and your kids.

If you are the kind of person or parent who delights in decorating your room as well aside from scrapbooking, there are projects you can try doing using your cutting machine and cartridges. Design door hangers, photo frames, and even your kids’ bedroom walls. A blank wall can quickly be improved by creating and mounting a collage of photos of the children and Cricut shapes and embellishments. Fill the room with color by adding accents to their windows or wallpaper, especially when you only have white walls inside the house.

What great ideas! I feel craft time is a great time to bond with your kids and family. Best to do it when they are young since by the time they hit being a teenager they won't want to anymore.
