This here is another hub written under the influence of another Hubber's Rival Crock Pot hubs;  I suppose that I would describe this hub as a collection of images of some of the more unusual looking recent releases from the Rival company, makers of the Rival Crock Pot brand of slow cooker.  By labeling any crock pot slow cooker as 'unusual', i am not in any way intending to impune the quality of or level of performance of any Crock Pot brand appliance, instead I am just (with tongue heavily planted in cheek) having a little fun with the appearance of said slow cooker.  Okay, now that that is all cleared up, lets look at some funny-looking slow cookers!

The Versaware Crock Pot from Rival is a very adaptable slow cooker, seeing as how its  removable crock stoneware liner can be used without fear on the stove top, in a microwave or even in the oven.  That is indeed a very versatile kitchen appliance, but ... you have to admit: this slow cooker does look a little ... unusual.  Is it just me or does it look like this thing just grew legs and now is about to get up and scurry across the kitchen counter?  I look at this thing and can't help but think of those long legged Martian war machines from the War of the Worlds!

  As long as it works though, right?

 The Rival Crock Pot Elume is quite the fancy looking shiny slow cooker.  It is very shiny and impressive looking and features some impressive touch-screen technology. However, the appearance of the controls is curious: the styling of the touch controls has me thinking that it is like across between an electronic bank vault lock and a detonator for some kind of explosives.  When i am using my trusty crock pot in the kitchen, I guess that it is okay to be thinking thoughts of tightly sealed as in a bank vault but the idea of my cooking being explosive in any way (unless I am making crock pot chili) is not so appealing...

The Rival Crock pot Trio cook and serve buffet server is one of those appliances which offers its owner serviceability both inside and outside of the home: it is very convenient to take your crock pot trio to any kind of group event or social gathering and to make use of it there when you are cooking for the group. even in a supporting capacity, the trio is a great way to maintain prepared foods in a heated serving environment. The reason i included it here is because it tends to remind me of those trick photographs you have probably seen in the past which show someone with three eyes or some other weird multiplied image - especially when you look at it with the lids on which serve to enhance the uniform or repetitive multiplicity of the whole thing.
