• Former travel agent gets 30 years' probation for cruise fare thefts - A Broward judge on Friday sentenced a former travel agent to 30 years probation for stealing cruise-ticket money from more than 80 elderly would-be travelers. Ernest Grossman, 71, of Tamarac, also must make monthly restitution payments to the victims totaling $200 a month. Circuit Judge Michael Gates said he would agree to terminate probation early if Grossman pays back a total of $77,107. Grossman pleaded no contest to communications fraud.
