It's not often that a self-confessed cruise ‘nut' like me finds something new on the internet to excite me, but whilst browsing yesterday afternoon I discovered what appears to be a new cruise news website, aptly named The Cruise.

Set out in the style of a newspaper, The Cruise has some great articles, features and facts about nearly all of the top cruise lines and their ships in the world. What caught my eye initially was a press release from P&O dated that day. If the updates are to be that quick it will mean that I won't have search around the internet so much to feed my appetite for cruise information!

Another good thing to make my life easier is that they can email me cruise news updates to my home email address which means I can sit back and wait for stuff to pop into my inbox.

I particularly like the drop down menus which are easily accessed via tabs at the top of the page and take you straight to where you want to go at the click of a mouse. I can now access stories on my favourite cruise ships without having to look for a needle in a haystack.

If you want to source a cruise, this can be done from The Cruise as well. I had a go at searching for a cruise and was surprised how easy it was. The search box takes you to cruise holiday specialists, Cruise VIP, which seem to have some tremendous deals at the moment.

I certainly will be visiting this site more often and it should become even better once it has time to bed in.
