Cuil: It means knowledge, it's an old Irish word!

Cuil sneaks in under the radar. The largest new search engine in the world makes an evening sneak attack last night. Cuil mentions possible beat down on Google. As you search Cuil around the net, many webmasters will claim that they don't see how in the hell it's going to compete with Google. By the way the word Cuil is an old Irish word that means knowledge. I have to give it to them it is a pretty cool name! The search engine specializes in ranking pages based on their content and relevance. When Cuil finds a page it indexes the page based on it's concepts, internal relationships and the page’s grammar structure and flow. It sure is the state of the art compare to Google which finds everything good or bad. The other thing to note is that you don't really see any advertisements on Cuil, so how do they make their money? Well the first uphill challenge will be to condition users to use their search engine. Find a way to brake the condition integrated by Google will be tough. The former Googleers that created the new search engine have some plans up their sleeves.

In reference to the way they make money, Cuil plans to make money by running ads alongside search results, which makes me wonder how this is going to look. If you can see how the new search engine finds your results, it looks to me like it will look like a huge cluster of information. Another downside is the Cuil sneaks in under the radar here in America, but not in other languages. Let's keep our eye on this search engine and one thing is certain. In oder to appear on Cuil you better have lots of content and good coherent content. Not no irrelevant high ranking sales pages like in Google. It will be a new site for webmasters and internet marketers to rank high in. The race is on! Hope to see us appear on Cuil soon. As you can see we still don't appear on Cuil. Try typing WWW.STUDENTPRENEUR-ONLINE.COM or anything related and we will not yet be there. As for many websites they will also not be there. The top searches are more relevant sites such as www.wikipedia.com, www.techcrunch.com, and www.entrepreneur.com. These sites have been around for a couple of years or more and have tons of good content.

So go over to www.cuil.com and come back and tells what you think about the new search engine. We love to hear your opinions and predictions on the success of this new search engine. So far Cuil ranks on Alexa at 1,426,862. If you haven't heard of this new massive search engine, then I guess Cuil did sneak under the radar!
