Custom Built Choppers and Motorcycles Photo Gallery and More

Beginning In the 1990's and for the next 10 years or so, very expensive custom motorcycles such as those built by Falcon Motorcycles, West Coast Choppers, Orange County Choppers, all became the "rage"... sort of a who's who status symbol.

There are some builders that are bringing back pin striping, such as Kenny Howard (also known as Von Dutch) from the 1950's with a continued effort to keep pin striping alive with Von dutch kustom cycles.

Some pure motorcycle enthusiasts feel that the only true customs are those built by hand, by the "regular guy/gal", in a home garage by the very person who will be riding this wonderful creation. The choppers of the 1960's and 1970's are put into this category. Jan Bachleda (originally from Slovakia) of JBIKEZ builds some fantastic and highly customized Triumph choppers from the 1970's.

Some motorcycle manufacturers, such as Harley Davidson, Honda, Yamaha and others, will include the word "custom" as part of a bikes name. If they have capitalized "Custom", this does not denote a custom built motorcycle as described above, rather,this is part of the model name of a factory mass production motorcycle.
