Believe it or not, magnets are used in our every day lives, and sometimes without you knowing. They are created for many different purposes and they come in all shapes and sizes. Perhaps you are not familiar with magnets or you have really never experimented with one. A magnet is an object that generates a magnetic field which in turn causes it to stick to something else that is ferromagnetic (or permanent magnet). Some of the more popular types of magnets would include: car magnets, custom refrigerator magnets, and jewelry magnets. People also use them to keep notes on the refrigerator, or hide a key under their car in the event that they lock themselves out. One of the most useful ways for a custom magnet is to advertise businesses. Most people have the tendency to lose business cards, and they are more likely to put the magnet on their refrigerator. Custom business card magnets are a great way to keep your business name in front of people’s faces every time they go to the refrigerator. The magnets that are less noticeable are hiding inside your credit card, ATM machines, and even some children’s toys.

When shopping for custom made magnets, you need to look at the options that are available. There are several different magnet suppliers out there that can also help you decide which magnet is right for you. They range in price depending on the size of the magnet and what it is used for. Custom Magnet Specifics

It is best to already know what the custom magnet is being used for so you will have some idea of where to search for one.

If you are unsure of what size you need, look at what you will be using it for and how many you want. If you were using it for advertising, you would want something small in size and thin material so it is easy to travel with like a business card. Or you may want custom car magnets for advertising purposes which you would want to be much larger so people can see it when they are out driving around.

You need to know approximately how many you need so you can order enough and possibly get them at a discounted rate. Sometimes when you order more you can end up paying less!

It is very important to know how much you want to spend so you can get the right service and still be able to meet your specifications.

If you are uncertain about the shape and color you would want, you can browse through different ones to gain some idea of what would better fit your needs.

When using an online company it is best to purchase a sample magnet. This would give you the opportunity to preview the template before you pay for a mass quantity only to discover there is a mistake.

This may seem like a lot of information to absorb about custom magnets but once you have some idea of what to expect, shopping for a magnet will be easy. If at anytime you feel you are not finding what you are looking for at a particular store, contact the sales team and they will be able to help you.

Make Your Own Custom Magnets

You could always create your own custom magnets like these if you would like. All you need are some of the glass beads that you can get in the floral department of your hobby store or some plastic cabochons, which actually work better, some magnets, your favorite printed images, a circle cutter or some scissors and some clear silicone glue. E-6000 craft glue works well for this.

The first thing you would do is to cut out a circle and then glue it to the bottom of the glass dome so that the image is showing through then glue the magnet to the bottom of that and you are done. I think these are really cool. I made a ton of them for a friend as a wedding gift.

Business card magnets are a great idea. Normal business cards tend to get lost in wallets and purses, but give them a magnet and it takes up a prominent place in the home. Great hub!
