Strength, Beauty and Designed to Fit Your Needs

Solid wood furniture is far superior in beauty, customizability, strength and longevity to the particle board and formica furniture imported from china that is so commonly found today. While it is true formica does have some advantages like being almost immune to hot pots, pans and pizza boxes as well as being very resistant to dings and dents. The major disadvantages are that it's not designed to last, if it is damaged there is no way to repair it properly, inconsistent quality, inability to customize and of course it's imported from china and costing Americans jobs.

The time and workmanship involved in making furniture from solid wood far out weights the crap that is stamped out in a factory. Every detail is precisely measured, hand cut and assembled. This allows for a very tight fit and finish. The drawer boxes are true english dovetails. Major joints are all mortise and tenon, providing strength and durability that glue or screws alone will never match.

One of the greatest features of hand made solid wood furniture is that you can change just about everything. From the dimensions and finish to the glass, door and drawer configurations. Dimension changes generally have an upcharge involved simply because most builder try and work from templates but the charge is very reasonable.

The upholstery for seating is availalbe in many different types- wood, fabric, micro-fiber and leather. If you dont find a pattern or color that you like you can always provide your own.

Handware for the hinges, knobs, pulls and drawer glides are all options that can easily be changed to fit your decor. The drawer glides are available in epoxy rollers, 3/4 extension undermount ballbearing, full extension side and under mount ballbearing, self closing ballbearing glides and self closing anti-slam ballbearing glides.

From no stain at all to painting, and various levels of distressing it's all available to fit your home decor. If you have existing furniture that you would like to match the color of this is also available. you'll have to part with a piece of it for a while but they will return it to you with the furniture. One of the great things about custom matches is that samples get sent to you for your approval. If it's not right let them know and they'll change it however you need so that it does match.

True hand made furniture has people involved not machines. They hand wipe the stain on and sand the furniture down for a smooth consistent finish. One thing that needs to be understood is that not all wood will absorb that stain the same way. Differences between individual trees and boards from the same tree can can accept stain differently. This is a natural part of real wood and can add a great deal of beauty and uniqueness to the furniture.

The furniture is sprayed with 2 coats of aresistovar. They spray it for an even consistence finish. If it was bruched or wiped on you would see the bristle or rag marks in it.
