Dasavadaram is a forthcoming Tamil feature film currently being directed by K. S. Ravikumar, who with Dasavadaram, pairs up with Kamal Haasan for the fourth time.

Kamal acts in ten different roles, breaking the record for an actor's portrayal of the most different characters whilst Asin Thottumkal in a dual role and Mallika Sherawat also play lead roles in the film.

Kamal is also the movie's story, screenplay writer. This hub is not enough if we start writing about his multi-talents. He is widely known as Ulaga Nayagan(tamil), that means 'World Hero'.

The film, which has been under production since mid-2005, has Himesh Reshammiya as the music composer and Oscar Ravichandran as the main producer. The film, made with a budget of 120 crore Indian rupees, is set to be released in the summer of 2008.

Recently, this movie's Audio Release function(April-2008) was happening grandly with Amitab Bachchan, Mallika Sherawat, Hema Malini, Mammootty and also the Asian Superstar, super stunt hero Jackie Chan as Cheif-guests.

Tamilnadu Chief Minister Mr.M.Karunanidhi was also appearing and he delivered his wishes and congratiulations to the film crew. Jackie Chan, on the same function was in all praise of Indian Superstar Amitab and our Kamal. Jackie also delivered his wish to act with Kamal in a movie.

The movie was expected to be released long ago in 2007 itself. Now, the audio has released and promos are forming waves, great expectations for the movie. But, still the movie release date is not announced officially whereas Kamal already started his next directorial venture MARMAYOGI which hopefully has A.R.Rahman's music score.

These stills are now confirmed as the Dasavadaram movie stills even though there were lot of pics(fakes) roaming across the web claiming to be exclusively the same movie stills.

The right spelling seen in the official promos of the movie is DASAVADARAM.

However, other spelling variants or misspellings may include: Dasavatharam, Dasavatar, Thasavatharam, Dasavataram, Dasaavadaaram etc.

This movie will be released in Hindi and Telugu also, hopefully in May 2008.
