DC for Paupers

Ah, the first post. Welcome to it! If you stumbled your way onto my Hub page, you're probably looking to live in/visit DC on the cheap. I do it every day, and thought I'd share my infinite wisdom.

Here you'll find an introduction to the city, a listing of events (a lot of them completely free!), and a general guide to enjoying all that DC has to offer without sacrificing your entire paycheck.

A word about me: I'm a 25 year old student (well, part-time student, but it's all the same isn't it?) who lives a few miles outside Washington DC. Which leads me to my first tip: living a few miles outside the grasp of DC's ridiculously high sales tax will do wonders when it comes to stretching your budget.
