DEAR CHILD
72Dear Child
My mother VERNA MAY HICKEY was born in 1923 in the town of Maffra in the state of Victoria .As a child, she was very lonely and although she mixed well ,she felt she could get along well by herself ,reading and writing when she could. She did very well at school and as she became older she became very, very, close to her grandmother who taught her a lot of everyday things that would have an effect on the way she handled things for the rest of her life.

DEAR CHILD
DEAR CHILD
Why do I find you crying dear child?
Why do I find you so blue?
How could anyone in their right mind
Do anything nasty to you?
Are you crying for the loss of trees?
That once stood so proud and tall
Or are you upset about people you meet
Who don’t seem to care at all?
Could you be sad about things that are bad?
Like man killing his brother
Or is it because in this great big world
No one seems to love one another?
But god in his way will fix it one day
And all will come right in the end
So children like you need never be blue
And we all will be happy again
LOVE IS EVERYTHING
