DEATH?

I woke up early this morning and was very aware of how quickly Death is going to come for many of us. I lay in bed for a long time contemplating my life to date and wondering how much of what I have done really matters or mattered. Life is so extremely short just ask (if you could) the billions that have gone before us and I’m sure if we could talk to them many would have regreted the lives they lived and wasted and others would have lived life to the fullest.

But I have such an overwhelming sense in my soul that time is really short and that many of us are about to die in a way we never thought possible. The very things we have put our thrust in are about to fail us. All of a sudden we are going to be so suddenly alone and going on a journey with millions of others yet so alone and full of fear and regret. The causes and debates and arguments we were involved in will no longer mater as the truth of who we really are becomes very clear to us.

Those of us that have denied the love of God and his existence will all of a sudden be brought into his glorious reality and will be so full of regret and shame as the truth stares us straight in the face and we can no longer deny it and the most terrifying event in our lives will happen. For the first time we will meet true love for a brief moment only to be rejected by the Author because we rejected him while we were alive. Death does not bring second chances only reality.

Those of us that choose life in him while we lived will rejoice in our new life with him for eternity, but sad to say there will not be that many and that is the part that deeply saddens me.

This morning I`m very much aware of my own mortality and know only full well if I do not choose to follow Gods gentle leading and prompts that not only will I not get to live with him for eternity but thousands of others because of my inactions will be lost forever separated from true eternal Love.

So what we do from this moment actually each second really maters in the light of eternity.

Jesus came to set us free and give us a real life not a religious one. He wants us to use your talents to the fullest in his service, he wants to give us original ideas and get us to think again to question everything around us, to wake up and live to let the past and present troubles go and step into real life with him.

We as writers have been given a wonderful talent in this present time and time is running out so let’s not waste it on trivial matters but let’s use our God given talent to bring glory to Jesus name and souls home to heaven.
