This is the second of a third part series of the message, "We are DIVAS Going To The Next Level in God".

Virtuous

The Hebrew meaning for the virtuous attribute is force and strength. The root word virtue means moral excellence and goodness.

The Book of Ruth refers to her as a virtuous woman - a woman of force and strength. She had a reputation of honesty and integrity. Like the Proverbs 31 woman, her family commitment is noted by others, she provided food for her household, she gave attention to her appearance - she looked good had it going on, her selfless lifestyle drew praise from others, and she committed herself to God! Everyone in the city, knew that she was a virtuous woman!

When Boaz called Ruth a Virtuous Woman, she was unmarried, without children, unsuccessful, living in poverty, a stranger in a strange land. On the outside, Ruth looked nothing like the woman described in Proverbs 31; but the character that made the Virtuous Woman who she was, lived inside of Ruth, and could be clearly discerned by those who looked carefully at her.

She was not a native Israelite, but rather a Moabite. Yet she had forsaken the gods of her youth, and followed wholeheartedly after the God of Israel. Ruth is a picture of God moving her, and anyone who would believe Him, from a place of sheer poverty to a very wealthy place. We are DIVAS, going to the next level of blessings in God, that us!

The next attribute is anointed. It means to smear or rub with oil. The oil is symbolic of the Holy Spirit and is used in regards to empowerment or power and the giving of gifts for service to the body of Christ. The Bible states in 2 Corinthians 1: 21 that . . he who anointed us is God! DIVAS are those who the Bible describes in Matt. 11:12. That the kingdom of heaven suffers violence and the violent take it by force. The Bible states that Jesus would send his Holy Spirit to not only to walk beside us but also to be inside of us. The Proverbs 31 DIVAS are empowered! Like Dorcas and Priscilla, we are anointed to serve,

Like Anna, we are anointed to intercede, stand in the gap praying for others. Like Mary Magdalene, we are anointed to minister healing and deliverance. Like Mary, we are anointed to carry the word to everyone we meet. Like the un named woman at the well, we are anointed to evangelize our communities.

Like Miriam, who praised the Lord in Exodus 15, we are anointed to praise God. We can lift up holy hands, clap, sing, run, jump, whatever it takes for that breakthrough and manifested victory.
