The second Indian Premier League started off to a great start with some of the world's best known cricketers and Bollywood stars coming together in a colourful parade through Cape Town on Thursday. South Africa is the new venue which will host IPL season 2 Match. The tournament will now be held between April 18 and May 24,comprising of 59 matches in total. The tournament would start from April 18, a delay of about one week from the original schedule. 90 per cent of the tickets for the cash-rich Twenty20 event, starting Saturday have been sold at all the eight venues. 'An important aspect of the marketing of the competition was advertising and Rand 120 million (US $10 million) has been earmarked to attract spectators to the games' says IPL Chief.
