DO LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP WORK?

Some people do not believe in long distance relationships, because they have'nt try yet or they have been in one but they have failed. However, for me, successful long distance relationships can and do exist.

I am currently in a LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP; I know some of you can relate to this.

Long-distance relationships are difficult, as you miss out on things like hugs, kisses, and his /her care, whatsoever. That can get depressing at times. Every kind of relationship takes hard work and dedication. Especially if you are in a long distance relationship. It is hard to keep these kinds of relationships to be last since they tend to reach a lot of bumps and turns along the way

The most important thing for a long-distance relationship to work out is to ensure that bothparties are committed in making the relationship work. It is important that both of you agree on the level of commitment you expect from the relationship. Both parties have to do their best to make it successful:

First, you would have to trust each other. Be extra-sweet with each other, and always reassure each other that your feelings are still going strong despite the distance. You need to be honest with each other about things and talk to each other about what’s going on in each others lives while separated.

Since you won't be seeing each other, it's important to establish and maintain an emotional connection. Communicate openly, use internet, chat, send mails, etc. whatever… but keep in contact with each other. Even if you are not together, you do not have to grow apart.

Avoid Temptation. As long as you are both interested in being in the relationship, you will stick with it and distance will not make a difference. Honesty also is vital to every relationship. The longevity of a long-distance relationship depends a great deal on your ability to communicate honestly with one another about what you are feeling and to resolve issues that might destroy your relationship.

Talk about your future together It keeps you reaching for the goal you will actually be together. Discussing how you're going to get to that point will help you prove to each other that the relationship is going somewhere and that your efforts and frustrations are not in vain.
