To answer the above request regarding the question as to whether there is anyone who writes poetry on hub pages the answer is a resounding YES! But I will initially state that this hub is just for "our" poets - those poets who put pen to paper to produce poetry on hubpages. So in short, there are many varied and gifted writers of poetry writing right here on the hubpage site. As an aside though it is always interesting to see that prose is usually regarded as the better read !

There are the writers who have been writing poetry consistently through the years and I guess this shows through as they are both practised and intent on mastering their gifts.. There are also poets who show huge talent plus enormous potential and whose words are incredibly emotive and thought provoking.. Fantastic wordsmiths all. These translators of the inner world are the purveyors of words which create instant emotion and recoqnition of the minutiae, the angst and whimsy in their respective lives. I sometimes feel that poets can be seen as the "explainers" of the turmoil amd the joy, the people who in simple language can and often do, provide clarity in a few well chosen words.

Let me begin by saying that when Lita Sorenson started a "Random Poetry Challenge" (RPC) a number of weeks ago, many poets came out into the open and published their beautiful pieces of work in answer to the Challenge. So for your edification I will inform you of a number of these poets - although should I miss some of them please feel free to update me and I will then include them in this hub.

The first Poet to spring to mind would be Lita Sorenson (the writer who posted the Random Poetry Challenge/RPC, and then generously opted into read the entries as they arrived.If you wish to enter into the spirit of the word go to http://hubpages.com/hub/A-Random-Poetry-Challenge ). Lita posted a most beautiful and emotive poem called For Beauty Is Nothing But The Begining Of Terror ( Found phrase) after Rilke. Christoph Reilly produced a brilliant poem on Dr.Seuss "Does Dr. Seuss Count" which very cleverly supports an undercurrent -an internal discussion that courses it's way throughout - a poem within a poem - it is truly entertaining, lots of fun, "Clever diction, clever rhymes, clever rhythm" (thanks for this comment Teresa!) And what about the inimitable poet/writer Teresa McGurk who submitted her energetically clever poem "Making It Fit" to the RPC -  Teresa also submitted a poem called "Abstract Red" which is in the Spanish language. Being an Australian, I find this so impressive because coming from an island nation we are basically very insular in this regard, and in the main only speak one language.
