We are now entering into a car to know about its mechanism.

Steering wheel: It is used to hold our hand.

It is used to make the vehicle run straight or to turn the vehicle to its right or to its left.

Horn: It is an indicator by sound to indicate the road users aware that a vehicle is coming.

Indicator: Indicator is an electrical or elctronic device which is used to indicate that the vehicle is turning to its right or to its left or is parked or the vehicle is taking revers.

The indicator is used while the vehicle is under breakdown also.

Head Lights: Head lights are used during night to gain the road visibility.

But some times people use it to indicate that they wish to have the preference to proceed first.

I remember a joke here. Once a village man was going on the road fully drunk with his wife in a motor cycle during night. He wanted to be more cautious.

Opposit to him two motor cyclist were coming maintaining equal distance among themselves and their headlights were resemebling the image of a truck.The drunk motorcycleist with his sife thought a truck is coming oppoist to him and so he went to the extreme left to his side of the road,but while the two motor cycleists passedby him, he came to know that they are motor cyclists and not the truck. He was cursing himself for his over cautious attitude.

Now, opposite to him was agian the same time of two headlights glowing and proceeding against him.This time he thought he should not get fooled.So without fear he went inbetween those head lights. But, Alas, it was a truck.!!!!!!!!!!!

danger light:

It denotes that there si a vehicle going before us.

It also denotes that the vehicle is a motor car's rear side.

GEAR: The important function of a motor vehicle is controlled by this mechanism.This mechanism only allows a motorist to increase his momentum or to dedrease it. This mechanism also plays a vital roll in increasing the fuel efficiency. Let us see the operation system seperately in our next Hub.

CLUTCH: It is the mechanism which engages and disengaes the gear box with the engine.And also it function as vehicle in neutral gear position when applied.

ACCELERATOR: It is the art of driving instrument we shoudl say. To increase the seed or to decrease it, it is used. Accelerator allows us to speed the vehicle.

SPEEDO METER: The function of the speedo meter is to indicate the speed of the vehicle while on drive and it has a provision to indicate the distance travelled. That provision is called as odo meter. In the same speedo meter there will be an indicator to show the level of fuel available in the fuel tank.Also in majority of the speddo meters they will have a high light beam sign.On seeing that we shall be able to understand whether we drive our car in night with headlight in high beam or what.

Earlier cars had engine oil indicator by means of a meter. But now a days we have only a light indicator and that is also within the speedometer.The latest technology has a provision to reset the odo meter before we start for a distance travel.This will help us to understand the distance covered,the fule requirement calculation, to ascertain the efficiency of the vehicle, to ascertain the fuel consumption of the vehicle.Also there is a meter which shall be showing us the total kilometer the vehicle is travelled. This will help us to understand the maintenance of the vehicle and periodical checkups.
