The judgement of the road is the main factor in driving light motor vehicles.WE have seen the types of roads available in India. And according to the road structure the speed of the vehicle is also to be maintained.

Now back to judgement of the road: The streeing wheel in the earlier days were provided with steering plys, to enable the driver to steer the vehicle without using his muscle power. But, even then, the drivers were finding to difficult to drive the vehicle comfortably. In the recent days the technology has improved and the steerings are all power steerings. While the vehicle is stationed, you can turn the front wheels without any excertion. And while driving to manouvere the vehicle this type of steerigs are very useful. Nowadays, power steerings are mounted even in heavy vehicles for easy handling.

Now, with this latest steering wheels,if you just tilt the steering a little also, the front wheels will turn. So while using the steering wheels, we should be very careful. And while learing, people would think that they shoudl tilt the steering wheels to the, left and the right often and then only the vehicle will run steadily. But it is wrong. You must hold the steering wheel and not tightly.Do not tilt or turn the steering wheels, if it is not needed.Make the vehicle to run in strainght line along the road.

Second is the clucth: Before engaging the gear on the vehicle while the engine is on, it is necessary to press(engage) clutch which is usually operated by the left leg only. The clutch has five posisiton. You can feel the clutch pedal moving very free from its existing position to the to be applied position. The clutch while not in operation is called in "E" Position. And when we press slight, and the pedal goes very free to the downward side to some point. That point is called "D". Now the distance between the distance E and D is called the clutch ply.Usually drivers like to keep their left leg in the clutch pedal only, while there are driving through a heavy traffic. By then the cltuch plates shoudlnot get damaged. So only the cluthc ply is provided in all motor vehicles.Further to the "D" position if you press fully upto the point of the floor board that point is called "A".Now release the clutch slowly from point "A" to certain level and you can see the vehicle start moving (assuming that the first gear is alrady engaged). The point where the vehicle starts moving is "B" point. Now, the distance between the point A and the Point B is the clutch balancing point.Further, when we realease the clutch slowly it reaches to a point where the vehicle moves smooth. This point is "C" The distance between the point "B" and point "C" is the cltuch biting point. Now, the gear is engaed directly to the engine and the vehicle moves smooth.

While climbing up the hill many use to apply brake when the vehicle is stopped and they do not know how to move the vehicle without making the vehicle climbing down while the clutch is closed and the brake is released to apply accelarator. What we should do is keep the clutch in biting point and you can feel the vehicle's tendency to move forward and by then release the bracke and apply accelerator and you can see the vehicle moves gently. No high acceleation is needed. This is one of the best position of the clutch while moving the vehicle while climbing up.

Bracke: It is used to reduce the speed of the vehicle and to bring the vehicle to a hlat. But, only bracke alone maynot help us to stop the vehicle totally while we are running at a speed of 60 km/hr or more.To bring the vehicle to sudden reduction of speed we should bring the gear to lower gear and release the clutch and then apply bracke. This will make the vehicle to come to  halt quickly.

Horns: Horns are used as an indication that we are behind a vehicle or to indicate a pedestrain that we are coming or while negotiating a blind curve while in the day time, to make the opposite vehicle to know that there is a vehicle coming opposite to them. Otherwise honking horn, while the vehicle is just running is an indecent practice. It may irritate the fellow road users and may cause accidents also.Mild horn is enough, however. Shrieking horns are always very dangerous. Mainly, we should not honk horn while we are passing through a hospital or through a school, or a court or any such places where honking horn is banned. While passing through a hospital,if we honk a shriking horn may cause a cordiac patient to receive a sudden shock and he may even collapse due to that.

Now, you can ask a master to teach you to impart training in motor driving, keeping these instructions in mind. You will enjoy all through your life the motor driving.

Enjoy.
