DUI and Its Influence on Auto Insurance Rates
61What is DUI
DUI is an acronym for Driving Under Influence and it means drunk driving. It's probably useless to say that it's a serious fault and it could send you to jail for a while, to think of the meaning of life while staying away from the real world.
There are countries where drivers alre allowed to drink and drive, provided that they have the alcohol blood concentration lower than a certain limit. This allows them to drink a beer or a glass of wine and still be able to get to the wheel and drive their car home after the party. However, in the US that's not allowed in any of the states, so drivers will have to drink only water or juices or non-alcoholic beers at their parties, if they don't want to take a cab back home.
DUI and Your Auto Insurance Rates
If you didn't know it, you should find out that a DUI conviction will imply bigger insurance premiums for your car insurance policy. It is what it is, once you've been convicted with a dUI felony, you're now a high risk driver. This influences the price you have to pay for the car insurance, even if we talk about the one that's mandatory by law.
