Today, I was absolutely thrilled to receive an email with this information from The Tibetan Library of Miami, a non-profit organization that helps to make public the culture of Tibet together with a collection of books gifted by His Holiness, The 14th Dalai Lama.

The body of the article has it right, but the headline is incorrect. DL did NOT win the Congressional Medal of Honor (military only). He won the Congressional Gold Medal (for civilians). The two medals are for very VERY different things.

Thank you, Paul Hettinger, for pointing out the incorrect headline. That gave us the opportunity to place the correct headline. Yes, the two medals are for Very different things.
