Well as a few of you have read my other hubpages, I will updated by making a new hub.

Danielle a 19 yr old female, my baby girl, Died Aug. 19 2008. She lived a short life but a very fulfulled life. She touched many people in her lifetime and made many friends. Everyone that ever met her, loved her forever. She was a wonderful daughter. I miss her dearly.

This hub is all about Danielle and her Cancer life.

Rest In Peace my little Angel

November 3rd 1988 - August 19th 2008

Danielle a very wonderful child since birth, was very normal until she developed a brain tumor at the age of 6. It was a medulloblastoma. It was located in her cerabellum next to her brain stem. She had chemotherapy and radiation therapy and few other therapies. She was 8 when this was all over. Leaving lasting effects of the tumor causing nerve damage. She did extremely well and recovered wonderfully with the excepting of her left sided weakness and left sided palsy on her face. She did alot of things Dr. said she would never do. She was always out to prove she could do something even if the odds were against her.

Danielle developed cancer, Leukemia. December 27th 2005 was the date of final diagnosis,

She was told due to the previous cancer in her life she had less chance of living than someone that did not ever have any cancers before. She was devastated as we all were.

Danielle was told she would have to go through 2 1/2 years of treatment for this cancer.She did go through this and got through it. However, there were many side effects and complications of the chemotherapy due to her receiving chemo in the past.

One of the complications was Steven's Johnsons Syndrome. From an antibiotic Bactrim.

She got through all this and finished her treatment May 2008.

Danielle went for a checkup on June 4th 2008. She appeared ok. Lab work was done. We were on our way back home stopping by the store. I received a call from the nurse asking me if we were still in Jacksonville Fl. I responded we were at home in Georgia. She said Danielle needs to come back to Dr. However it was late in the day and she spoke with the Dr. She said that the Dr. was very disturbed by Danielle Lab Work. I was so scared and crying. Danielle got upset as well. Yes if you havent guessed the Cancer was back. The Nurse told us to return in the A.M to see the Dr. Nurse, and Social Worker to go over our options. and be prepared to be admitted to hospital if that is what we choose to do.

When going to Dr. we were told, making a long story short, Without treatment she would live 2 weeks to 2 months.. With treatment they really have no idea how long she would have.The treatment itself could kill her. Due to the fact that her body rejected alot of the chemo last time with the other cancer. Or, even a simple infection could kill her.

Danielle chose to live and fight this to the end she did not want to die. She did not want to leave me. That is what she said.

The steps of this treatment were as follows:

1. Strong Chemo, 3 kinds, with spinal taps and intrathecal injections before, during and after the chemo. The chemo is 3 kinds,3times a day, for 10 days. preceded and postceded by the chemo in the spine. The hospital stay will be a min. of 1 month. She did this wonderfully. We came home July 4th 2008.
2. Strong Chemo same as above with no spinals and only 8 days long. The hospital stay would be at least a month. She did come home, However that was it. She developed an infection. A fungus infection of the worst kind for her situation.

Yes, this is what did the nasty deed of ending my daughters life. This is a mold infection of the sinuses. It can be treated but when you read the artical on this you will understand why treatment doesnt help.

This began with extreme pain behind her eye. Swelling of the eye and face. Cat Scans, tests, It was awful. She went blind within a day in her left eye. A sinus wash was performed. This was the test that proved the mucormycosis. I just cant even put in words how I feel as I write this. Just not understanding how she got this.....................

After Here blood counts returned to normal enough to go home. She was sent home with antibiotics. That was friday August 15 2008. I was told if the antibiotics didnt work I would have her about a month. However it was only days, August 18th she left us at 3:40 pm. The worst day of my life. Loosing my little baby.

She died in my arms,As I told her I loved her so much. She opened her beautiful eyes so wide and took in her last breath.
