Job Fairs in the News

Need a Job for a Day or a Week? Temporary Employment Agencies Could Be the Answer for You.

Temporary job staffing companies are likely to have a job solution for you.  With massive employment layoffs occurring worldwide tens of thousand of people are out of work. If you happen to be one of these unfortunate people, do not despair. A job may be as close as a telephone call when you have sent an email to a temporary employment agency containing a letter of introduction and your resume.

In the last fifteen years or so there has been a prolific growth in temporary job staffing agencies. These agencies pay the worker directly although he or she works for a company not directly associated with temporary staffing agency. As an example, let's say you just lost your job as a secretary. You need another job now, although it may be just a temporary job, you must continue making money to pay the bills. You contact a temporary staffing agency and ask them if there are any secretary temp jobs available. If there is a job available, you apply for that job indirectly through the staffing agency. The agency will probably give you a typing examination and short exams regarding various software that you may be required to use on your new job. If you pass the test you qualify for the job. The staffing agency provides you with an identification card, the name of the company you will be working for, and instructions how to get to the job. In some cases, jobs are provided on the same day as the application for employment was filed.

Temporary staffing agencies have jobs available for almost every type of employment under the sun. So if you expect that you are soon to be unemployed, are unemployed now, or if your Workman's Comp has or is about to expire, consider working in a temporary position through a temporary employment agency. It is likely you will find a job. There is more good news. In some cases, temporary workers have been hired on a permanent basis by the companies that they work for. There is hope. Do a little research and they apply. A job is waiting for you.
