If you are hesitant to go to a day spa to get an appointment, maybe it’s because you are not aware of what a spa can do for your body and mind.

You may be thinking of what day spas can offer you. Actually, day spas have a lot to offer. You can choose from their various services, all of which are beneficial to your body. They do body massages, facials, skin exfoliation, waxing, and body treatments.


The body treatment spa is the one usually sought after by potential clients. The massages offered are not just your run of the mill, plain rubbing of the body, but rather involves various techniques and products for maximum benefit.

You can choose your own favorite essential oils like lavender or bergamot to be mixed in with base oils, you can request a body wrap that uses hot towels or you can ask for a hot stone massage. Salt scrubs are also beneficial in removing dead skin cells, replenishing the skin's moisture, restoring softness and increasing blood circulation. After receiving a treatment, your skin will feel and look clean, rejuvenated, fresh, and smooth. Exfoliating scrubs are not only to relax the body but also to enhance the body’s health.

Day spas are also known for offering mud wraps for the whole body or just for the face. The body mud wraps can help the body heal, tone and tighten the skin, improve circulation, and detoxify the body from toxic wastes. Mud wraps often work better after the skin is exfoliated. Once your wrap treatment is done, they follow up with an application of moisturizers which results in a polished, hydrated, and smoother skin. Heaven!

Another popular service that is offered at most day spas are tanning treatments. Depending on the salon, these can vary from the traditional booth or the spray booth which is much safer. Some customers choose to have this treatment for special occasions while some would prefer to avail it after every body treatment to enhance their body tan for attraction.

More than just body treatments, day spas also offer hand massages, foot massages, foot spas, manicures and pedicures. You can really nourish your body from head to toe with all the refreshing fragrant lotions, creams, and oils available today. There is no reason to deprive your self of these small luxuries of self-pampering and body relaxation, especially after a long year, month or even week of hard work and stress.
