WONDER-WORKER

DeWalt is a top producer of world renowned brand of power tools for the construction and woodworking industries. The original company, DeWalt Products Company, was founded in 1924 by Raymond E. DeWalt - the inventor of the radial arm saw called the "Wonder Worker". The company prospered and was restructured and re-incorporated under DeWalt Inc., manufacturing radial arm saws and other stationary woodworking machines.

It was bought by the American Machine & Foundry Co. Inc., in 1949. In 1960 the company was sold to Black & Decker. In 1989 Black & Decker ceased manufacturing radial arm saws, and sold the franchise. Radial arm saws that use the original DeWalt design can still be obtained from the Original Saw Co..
