Dear God: Thank You!

It’s a cloudy Saturday morning. The sun seems to be hiding behind the clouds today. I don’t mind. It’s cool and I like the crisp December air as I breathe in life with all its splendor. In a few hours, the house will be filled with family and relatives. We have decided to go away on a trip to celebrate New Year. So before all the commotion would start, I would like to take this time to write you a thank you letter.
God, thank you for this wonderful year! All five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes of it! Thank you for the little and big milestones that have happened in my life. Growing up can sometimes be a painful thing esp. when it involves handling our emotional and mental state. But what a year of learning and growing! I wouldn’t change it for anything.
I smile with delight. Your little girl is all grown up now. And I know that you are happy for me. Why are the tears falling down my face, blurring my eyes? Perhaps it’s because I just know that there is so much love and gratitude within and all around me. I thank you for this precious, very precious gift.
A life lived in love is so much different. I know because I too have walked the valleys of darkness. And yet, I have made it through. I am here, alive and free! And everyday has become a celebration.
God, thank you for all the small miracles that comprised the bigger miracle in my life. The miracle of finding, knowing and loving myself. I was lost but now I am found. Your love was unfailing, unchanging. It was steadfast…a solid bright light that got me through the dark times. How I have basked in that pure light of love; received comfort when my heart was pierced with pain. I see that the miracle of love is the greatest gift of all. Love truly heals.
God, thank you for giving me all the opportunities to create ripples of love. As I have experienced your love and grow to love myself, I noticed that I am reaching out more to others. I rejoice every time I am able to respond better to situations. I am becoming a better administrator, trainer, daughter, sister and friend.
As I have used my healing gift, I have been able to witness the transformation of lives (including physical healing) and I too have been blessed tremendously. I have lost my sense of smell for the past years due to chronic sinusitis. But now I have gained it back to the doctor’s disbelief. I can smell the food, perfume, and even smelly things like farts! Ooohhh Okay, I don’t like the smell of farts but I love that I am able to smell. Hahaha
God, thank you for giving me the heart to receive love from others. I’d like to mention at this time the writers/hubbers from HubPages who have shared their time and heart with me across the miles. It reinforces my belief that love can indeed cross the distance. Love knows no boundaries. It is eternal.

Kenny Wordsmith- the man who first interacted with me on HubPages. I remember fondly how happy I was when someone finally 'talked' to me. He is a very kind and sweet person and is able to see the positive side of things.
In the Doghouse – Diana was always so warm and encouraging. She even nominated me to be the Hubber of the Month. I was honored and touched because I only had a few hubs then. I enjoyed our exchanges immensely.
Funride – As I read his broken wrist hub, I boldly offered to do healing for him. I remember running to Dayzeebee and telling her that “I did something today. I offered to heal a guy online. Gosh, I don’t know how he will react." LOL But thankfully he didn’t but was very kind and gracious about it I (even if he admitted much later that he was skeptical at first.) Thank you for being a very good friend Ricardo. I enjoy the friendship that we share. I look forward to visiting you in Portugal someday.
Amy Jane - You were the first one who said "yes" to distance healing. To a very young healer like me, I needed that. You gave me that opportunity. Thank you very much.
Compu-smart – I engaged a discussion with him on one of his birthday hubs. I wanted to persuade him to put my name on the famous list of people on May 5. LOL Smart as he is, he told me I was already famous in that hub since my photo was appearing so many times in the comment section. Maybe someday when I will be famous, my name will finally be there on that list. Hahahah

G-Ma Johnson – G-Ma popped out of the blue saying she was glad she was following Kenny Wordsmith around because then she found me! That was so endearing. It brought a huge smile to my face as I read those words. I would gladly have G-Ma as my grandma anytime. She’s very honest, lovable and real.
Misha – I once asked Misha for an ice cream during the discussion on the forums. It was to celebrate one of his milestones. He delighted me by asking if there is a delivery for ice cream where I lived. When I said no, he asked for my paypal account so he could send me a dollar so I could buy one. LOL Unfortunately I don’t so he just sent an ice cream image instead. Misha, you still owe me an ice cream. Thank you for the sweet gesture.
MrMarmalade - In his hub, The Sausage Factory: To be or not to be, He asked everyone to play a game. I came back to that hub many times because I couldn't resist computing what letters formed to make it 100% or 110%. Thanks MrM, I truly had great fun!
Sweetie Pie – encourages me to make more hubs. :-) You have told me I have a PhD on living life to the fullest and I was truly touched. Wow! Those words have given me much to think and be grateful about.

Dayzeebee – you have been the best person for me to journey with in the discovery of myself. We have known each other for only a few years and yet it seems like a lifetime already. I am glad that I am able to be ME around you. I do not have any masks and pretensions because we have decided to be truthful to each other, no matter what. I guess this has made a lot of difference. I look forward to another year of growing and learning and making our dreams come true.
To all the hubbers who have read, commented on my hubs; those who have written wonderful articles that have touched and inspired me, thank you so much.
God, I discovered that when I started writing my thank you letter, I can see and feel your love through my experiences and the love I have felt from so many. I feel so abundant and very blessed. There are just so many people to be thankful for. This is barely even one fourth on my list. I pray now that you just bless them tremendously in the coming year - a life filled with love and abundance in all the aspects of their lives.
Thank you Father God for your love and for being the Source of All that is. I hug you now in spirit. I am alive. I am free to live a life of love. Yay! I’m going to go out and celebrate life with you in the next five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes! Hahaha

Hi Dayzeebee! That was a quick response. LOL I have been crying (sniff sniff) I feel so sentimental today. Gratitude does that huh? It keeps you in touch with your inner truth and even amidst our busy schedules, I am actually able to smile and put up with any inconveniences. What a beautiful thoughtful hub. If more people would take the time to think about all the things in our lives that we should be thankful for, I am sure the world would be a better place. Your talk of China and Hongkong Last Monday I picked son 3 up from airport having been in china and Hong kong for the previous six weeks. He is the mathematical genius in our family, with his brother running a very close second.
I use to think I was good but after two sons and having experienced the beautiful Lady they call 'Ripplemaker,' I will have to retire. I will have to call you Tide Changer from now on!

All is great, Michelle, thanks to God. Recently, I decided to buy a ticket in God's bus, relax and wait for the bus to go there. That way I avoid what they call the 'competitive world.' I see them from the bus and ask them to join me, and some do, but many want to achieve things on their own and feel proud. But this bus is more comfortable...
I can see you sitting in the seat in front of me. :)
