How I found my Creator...
Dear Creator:
I didn't know You intimately for many years. I looked for you in churches and books; in religions and teachings. I am pretty certain You have Always known ME. I want to know you better; I just don't know where to go from here. And *(here)* is what I am going to explain below...I did an exercise that helped; did More than just help--but I want more.
The exercise was pretty simple but it was so very Powerful. When I was finished I sat with the sun on my face, tears of indescribable JOY running down my face. If you don't WANT to hear or know what I have to say; please don't read on -- and please don't discredit me in the comment section. I am wearing my *heart on my sleeve* with this hub.
I took a pencil and some paper. I drew a line down the middle. At the top on the left side I wrote "What my Creator is like" - on the right side I wrote "What my Creator is not like". OK - then the *magic* began; it was as if my hand took on a life of its own and the pencil just FLEW. There were things on the left side like:
My Creator is:
ALL LOVING
is all forgiving
cares about ME personally
gives me choices (free-will) every day
================
And things on the right side such as:
My Creator is not:
vengeful
critical
judgemental
*mean*
(there are many many lines on both sides of the paper.....)
You see - I truly believe (I KNOW in my heart) we are ALL little pieces of YOU - the Great *I AM* - all little pieces - an expression of the whole. And we live and die and new are born - as there is just SO MUCH expression of GOD that it goes on and on - this cycle of life - birth and re-birth - death and new life.
The Creator has/is SO much more than a spiritual connection to every person; every animal; every living thing and probably the things we don't consider *living* - like rocks, mountains, water, fire.....We ARE GOD. We are all little pieces of that Great Whole.
The Great Reality is -- the Creator is IN us. Just as we are IN the Creator. We may shut the communication door from time to time; but it seems to me that in *Most* peoples *darkest hour* - it is GOD whom they call upon. Probably out of fear. But that's OK.
My knowledge of you comes from WITHIN. Not from without. I have read every book man or woman has ever written about you that I've found and they have not helped me.
Nothing ever helped me to know you more than that sunny day with my paper and pencil.
The only index to you is THROUGH you...because I am IN you and you are IN me.Call it intuition; call it self-awareness; call it what you will -- it is real. If you allow the experience to happen - you will also know it is real.
As the old saying goes - "Every day is a Gift; that's why we call it the Present." That sure is logical to me. Every day we can stand up in responsibility and with respect to the world. OR NOT. WE always get to decide. YOU set the *ball in motion* and gave to us the ability to positively create or utterly destroy.
The message I get from you via my heart is one thing - LOVE. Yes, that over-used, sadly abused word, with not enough meaning in the English language.
It is up to us (being your expression on earth) to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND LIVE COMFORTABLY IN OUR OWN SKIN(S).
Please take the poll on here so I can see where those of you who read this stand; it is anonymous. And Please - I would LOVE to read your comments; just so long as they are not *nasty* - play nice :}
It is up to us.

Hi Moonlake -
One of my favorite ones is:
Ye are all Gods, and all sons of the most high.
(Since that book was written by ALL men, I would think that includes WOmen to!)
I detest that part of that book - all by men, so it stands to reason they would put women down, make them sub-servant, make up that ridiculous adam and eve story - etc...say:
if you are a bible believer - what do you think of this question.
If Cain and Able were the only 2 kids of adam and eve, where did all the other people come from? Incest?
Have a great day :}
Melanie
Hi Melanie,
Did not see you around for a while, glad you are back :)
No, I did not meet the Creator yet - but I am working on this :)
Dear Misha:
I hope you find the Creator soon. It's pretty nice :}
On quite a few occassions I thought I was finally there and I was sure that he was with me but then I somehow lost him again. I'm working on it one small step at a time.
You know I sure hope that I am too going to be worth to be a small piece of the whole...
a great hub from the heart
kindest regards Zsuzsy
You know I sure hope that I am too going to be worth to be a small piece of the whole...
Oh HONEY! Of COURSE you ARE WORTH IT! And you ARE a piece of it already!!!
Hey, my friend. An intimate and thought provoking hub that I can relate to on a few levels. I would say your guides direction was being very strongly felt by you that day. I love it when it leads to those "AHA" moments of true clarity. They do enjoy setting up situations that cause us to pause and think...but ultimately we have to do the work of discovery. It was refreshing to read another person who understands that we have the right to choose. Had I allowed the religion that was force fed to me growing up as the "only way" to remain as my truth, my life would be very different. I really think it essential - truly believing that we have the right by virtue of being divine sparks of a Divine Creator - to choose how we want to view and acknowledge the Creator.
I can honestly understand how important and essential this awakening was for you and how hugely it affected you. My psychic awakening was very quickly followed by a spiritual one. I can recall reading a book by a local author called "Dead As I'll Ever Be" by Pam Evans. She recounted a time as a teen when she realized within herself that she did believe in a Creator and observed the Golden Rule so why should she have to attend church services that did little or nothing for her spiritual growth and vowed never to return. It was the very first time I had ever had my own secret wish reinforced by somebody else. I don't mind admitting that I did bawl like a baby for quite some time afterwards. A major dam burst inside me and it really did allow me to see my spiritual growth and path in a whole new light.
And your comment about the very evident sexism prevalent in the Bible is a source of agitation for me and I'm a guy. Some years ago, I read about the Councils of Nicaea, finding out it had been largely only a propaganda tool for a pagan emperor who wanted to hold onto his power at all costs, including getting the support of the new sect called Christians. What amazes me is that so many women believe every word written there but fail to see a conflict with the equal rights we enjoy (to a large extent) today. Those writings were from a very different time in history when the church was central to all life and, aside from the nasty little inquisitions, the worst sentence one could receive was excommunication. (You'll chuckle but I'm pretty certain my last life was as a woman.) Additionally, it's only been the last few decades that woman have been granted an oportunity to become ordained ministers and many of the writings that the Councils of Nicaea discarded as heresy revealed woman in leadership and teaching roles. Perhaps with the Shift almost upon us, this aspect is coming full circle.
Oh yeah, I did ask - as a youngster - about the Adam and Eve thing. Why would a mark have been put Cain's face, for example, to show the other humans his disgrace when the Bible only talks about all of us coming from that one source. The response had been that the Bible just didn't include how many other people God had created, besides those first two. If that's the case, there's a huge conflict right from the start of the Bible. My fave, though, had to be why - as good Christians - we didn't attend movies or plays at theaters. Apparently, even if it is an innocent Disney movie, our admission price would be used to bring in restricted movies to the same theater. Some may accept that...I didn't then and don't now. That's like a political hopeful disparaging the current government by saying they had given millions in tax breaks to huge corporations. What they don't include is that these breaks were often necessary to keep plants from closing and keeping Canadians or Americans employed. Out of context, it certainly sounds horrendous, when the "little guy" is faithfully paying their taxes each year and these huge companies are being given a break from paying. As with many things in life, the core component is always intent. I mean who goes to see a Disney movie with the intention of promoting restricted flicks with the admission they paid?
I have to apologize for going off on a rant. I do recognize that some people do need that rigid and ordered view of spirituality preached by the church, and yes, it is the choice of the individual. I don't say that as a slight to Christians in general...that just isn't my truth. Thank you sincerely for this hub. I really needed to read it today.
Many Blessings, my friend.
Nick
Hay Nick - Rant away my friend! :} Rant away, I enjoyed reading it!
And thank you for reading it. It isn't the sort of hub that would *appeal* to everyone - lol
The adam and eve thing just makes no sense at all - in that book it DOES say they were the only people...so...they can't just say well, there were others ya know and blaa blaa.
Well, they can and they DO but they Shouldn't.
People sure do make up an awful lot of stuff.
It's like the scarecrow said:
"Some people with no brains do an awful lot of talking"
Best regards and come back soon!
Melanie
The Bible does not say they were the only, it says they were the first, it doesn't state how many were created after wards, the story goes on to their life and how their decisions impacted human life from that point forward. So going on that theory, if God created Adam and Eve first, and realized it was good (before the original sin) He could have created many other couples. Also, having only stated that humans were created in teh Garden of Eden, once they had sinned and were cast away, He probably saw that there would be a need for other beings, and therefore created more humans. Also, in those times humans often lived to be many hundreds of years old, and if they did commit incest to multiply, it wouldn't have the repercussions that we see today. Keeping in mind that many times even in present times incest results in perfectly healthy offspring. The Bible says Gen, 5:4 "And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years and and he begat sons and daughters."
Now I'm not saying my stand on the matter just that there are many different ways to perceive the information available
jenimac - I think that is a Very Interesting theory!
I truly do.
Have a great day!
I have sense learned that adam and eve had many many more children.
Apparently (as the story goes) since they were *perfect* and lived 1000 years or so - they probably had a few hundred.
And being perfect - incest wasn't a consideration.
I am NOT saying I even BELIEVE the story of adam and eve; just what the recent *zen master* had to say.

My favorite bible verse.
St. Matthew 7 Ask, and it shall be given you;Seek, and ye shall find; Knock, and it shall be opened unto you;For every one that asketh receiveth;and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
