The information included herein is designed to inform a creditor (plaintiff) collecting a judgment, or the money won in a lawsuit. Also, this information informs consumers facing a judgment (defendant) and informs consumers about the process of collection and attachment of property including garnishment of wages in the State of Maryland. Although the information included herein is intended for residents of Maryland, this process is most likely pursued by creditors (plaintiffs) in all fifty states and the District of Colombia. In the event a consumer is facing a civil judgment and is notified by the court that this is indeed the case, it is best to contact a credit counselor and debt settlement expert to negotiate a settlement before personal property is attached including real estate, automobile titles and/or garnishment of wages.
