Does it make a difference if I vote?

The first question many ask is: Does my vote make a difference in the Presidential Election? My answer Yes!

The biggest mistake people make is they think what's the big deal my

vote doesn't make a difference!

Did you know?

1. Politicians pay attention to who does and does not vote. For example, a very high percentage of senior citizens vote at each election, so elected officials pay greater attention to issues such as modifications in social security legislation-which is an important issue to aging or older Americans. Because people with disabilities don't usually vote in high numbers, politicians are not as interested in their viewpoints. So if you want to change this get out there and let your voice be heard.

2.Have you ever felt you would do things differently, if you were in charge? You can. Take charge and vote. Maybe some day your name will appear on the ballot! When you vote, you voice your point of view. Let your voice be heard and MAKE YOUR VOTE COUNT!

Before You Vote:

You must decide what issues are important to you. Ask yourself these questions:

1. Is Faith important to you and do they line up with what you believe? Can you live with the differences?

2. What about Taxes? How does the candidate vote when it comes to taxes?

3. Truth are they a person that keeps their word? Do they keep their promises? You can also check out a potential candidate and their voting records

4. Healthcare how do they stand are they working to help the those who cannot afford healthcare and if so what will they do to change it and will it be affordable?

5. How about the war are you for it or against it? Does the candidate you are considering have plan in this area?

6. There are also hot topics such as abortion, gay rights. How does the candidate stand on these issues.

7. What about the environment with everybody talking about going green these days you might want to consider this.

For me I vote for the candidate that lines up closest to what I stand for and I think it is important to ask God for guidance in making this decision. I think too often people leave God out and then we end up with presidents that might not be God's best for us. One thing we must remember is that they are human they are not God, they make mistakes. Therefore we should pray for them according to scripture lets us pray for those in government and our leaders that are over us that all may go well and that we might have peace. Finally, if the candidate that you didn't want makes it into the presidency instead of bashing them why don't you pray for them instead!

Vote:

Last Vote this is a time when you do make a difference even if you don't think so you do!

Thank you for your encouragement to vote. At times I have even thought, what difference could one vote make. It may seem discouraging at times to consider, the "electorial college" making the decisions for us, but then again what if everyone thought that way, right? I guess a whole bunch of "one votes" can change the world. Thanks.

I need to refer the Ron Paul people I've been talking to to this hub. I'm trying to convert them to Obama since Paul is so far behind but all they seem to care about is promoting anarchy and apparently by Paul's #'s, not voting (since its rigged). Good thing Obama supporters have a much more similar view to voting to your hub. Voting and organizing is the only way to be heard.

All things need to be considered when you decide who you are going to vote for, many people become focused on one area and that is not balanced. Not voting at all is not the answer. I am finding this time more of a challange but I also think it is important to do ones homework, listen to those sometimes boring debates. May God give us wisdom.

Hi there is an interesting phenomenon called Mercury retrograde. On the day of the election in 2000, Mercury was retrograde, hence all the disarray in the election. Astrologers will tell you not to have elections during these times. problem is no one listens nowadays to astrologers. Mercury retrograde occurs about 4 times a yr and lasts about 3 wks. The last one was from jan 28th to Feb 19th of this yr. this is when senator obama enjoyed his "free ride " with the press. As you know, the florida and Michigan primaries that were held during that time is already under scrutiny and, most likely, those victories for Hillary will most likely be hers to keep.
