Yes, the economy looks gloomy, but life must go on and the holiday season is approaching... let's not fill our holidays with more gloom and sadness. Let's approach it with a sense of joy and fun. Well, one easy way to bring up the happy holiday mood is to decorate your home and office to match the festive season. That way, when you arrive at work or home, the ornaments will help lift up the happy moods in you and others.

There are many decorations we can think of. Make it fun, do it together with your loved ones at home and co-workers in the office. For me, I like to start hanging a beautiful vintage Christmas wreath on the front door of my house. I bought the wreath from ebay. Then, find a space to place the christmas tree and start hanging ornaments on it.

If you have some houseplants and bonsai trees, you can also brighten them up with small Christmas bulb ornaments. Or you can try to make them looked unique by attaching some miniature Snow White and the Seven Dwarf figurines. If this is not your taste, you can decorate your houseplants with other small christmas ornaments. For me, I like to use those small Jingle Bell Ornaments.

Besides attaching ornaments on your Christmas tree and houseplants, you can also display other objects that can help brighten the mood of holiday seasons. For example, you can put christmas-themed books, photos from past christmas seasons, photocubes or small christmas sculptures on tables or along a stable furniture surface in your house.

If you have glass jars and glass bowls, fill them with pine cones, walnuts, herbs and other natural items that are traditionally associated with Christmas. As snow cover the rooftop, light a crackling fire in the fireplace, light up the Christmas tree and settle down with a cup of tea with your loved ones. This is the moment I cherish most during this festive season.

If you have stairs and an indoor balcony, cover the railing with twisted ribbon in seasonal colors and dot them sparsely with few red bows will look terrific.

Another terrific idea is to decorate the railing with miniature icicle flower lights, they are really beautiful especially at night, the miniature icicle flower lights are my favorites. You can also curve them into a design or words that spell out a holiday cheer.

The icicle christmas flower lights can also be placed in other locations around your house. Anyplace that two surfaces meet in a line makes for a good spot to run a string. The highest point of an angled ceiling makes a good spot to illuminate. Or, you can run them around the edge of a table's corner and leg.

Add a few more christmas time plants here and there and your home or office will really liven up your holiday season mood and others. Make your home and office as welcoming as possible and it will elevate a happy mood for everyone, and remind us all the great things about festive seasons.
