Yummy Deep Fried Ice Cream

Deep Fried Ice Cream

20 oz. ice cream (vanilla is great, but the new Haagen Dazs Mayan Chocolate would be pretty tasty!)

2 cups crushed corn flakes

3 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1 1/2 TBS. sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp water

Oil

Chocolate Sauce

Whipped Cream

Form ice cream into 4 balls and place on a plate.  Freeze for three or more hours until solid.  Mix the cereal, cinnamon, and sugar together and divide into two separate bowls big enough to roll the ice cream balls in. 

Beat the water with the eggs.

Roll each ball in the cereal mixture and and press into the ice cream.  Dip each coated ice cream ball into the egg mixture and roll again in the second cereal bowl mixture and again firmly press into the ice cream.  Freeze the balls for at least six hours.

Heat the oil in a deep pot or deep fryer and deep fry the coated ice cream balls 40-50 seconds.  Remove with a flat wok spoon.  Drizzle with chocolate syrup and top with whipped cream.  Worry about the calories another day!!!
