Ok, I want to talk about defense rating in World of warcraft. I will talk about few aspects of it, how you can use it, who profits from it etc. It's a nice stat you might need to concentrate on on higher levels.

What is defense rating in WOW:

It's simple. More defense rating on items in World of warcraft gives you more chance to dodge, block and parry and less chance to be hit and critically hit. You already love it, don't you? I know I do!

Who needs defense rating

I do! I'm a protection paladin (I like to call myself protection aoe paladin, cause of the build and items I use and the way I love to play the game, check out wowhobbs, I learned many things from him).

• protection warriors
• all kinds of other tanks - paladins, feral druids etc.
• also, if you think you need a better chance to avoid taking damage in solo play etc., you might need it

Some examples of WOW items with defense rating:

Legplates of the Eternal Guardian, blue, lvl 52 required (+22 defense rating)

Stockade pauldrons, purple, lvl 50 required (+15 defense rating)

Tip on finding defense rating items in World of warcraft auction house:

• Look for "of the champion" items
• Some items, like the examples above, have simple names with no "of the..." in them, so "of the champion" etc. is not a necessary condition for an item to have + defense rating
