Introduction

This is a quick understanding of the effects of overpopulation and deforestation in our world as they are two important issues that will and has affected our world, already. So we need to reduce it's impact towards the our planet, and ensure a safe future for mankind.

The issue of overpopulation

As the population of humanity on Earth has dramatically increasing over the decade which currently is estimated around 6.5 billion people who live in the world today, but by 2020 this figure is expected to increase by a huge 1.5 billion. This means that the population of humanity dominating the planet is expected to be around the figure of 8 billion people, so as population of the human species grows intensively over the years, the issue of land space gradually reduces as more and more land is prepared for this raising population globally.

Any countries’ forests, woodlands and natural landscape regions, such as the great Amazon which its trees are vastly decreasing because of the issues regarding money and workers are able to provide for their families. But this is also suddenly to keep up with the worlds demand on raw resources, and as a result there been exploiting in large quantities. This process of destroying the forest, cropping and exploiting these natural resources is called ‘deforestation’.

This process may have its advantage because the outcome, will lead to an economical profit in money and the tradesman gave profit for selling these resources and wealth grows. But the outcome would lead to a unsecure future and may perhaps lead towards a globally crisis. Furthermore, the more and more man increasingly grows an the more and more life we take out of the planet. Furthermore, as the issue of overpopulation is where will everyone live where the population is changing in an unchanged world. As you see in these picture to the left displays the issue of overpopulation and people are living in extremely crowded condition which looks unbearable.

The empty forests

Deforestation: what is it?

Deforestation is the process of logging, burning the forest which in affect is destroying, exploiting and eliminating the natural resources of the forested area. There are several reasons why deforestation occurs in our environments, theses reason are the following; trees of derived charcoal can be sold as a commodity and used by humans, while cleared land is used as pasture, plantations of commodities and human settlements.

Consequently, exploitation and removing planet Earth’s natural resources does inevitably will lead to a global crisis. Trees naturally absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen in to the atmosphere, so it naturally controls the levels of greenhouse gases but as we're removed and limiting the amounts of forests in the world, the affect would lead to an increasing raise in carbon dioxide level. Which is the main source of the global warming affect as there are 600 million vehicles estimated in the world, and as we know they emit carbon dioxide. So the levels of carbon dioxide over the past fifty years since the technologies of car has vastly progressed, the CO2 emissions has dramatically increased.

In addition, if we continue to exploit our forests in exchange for land space to build more cities for the growing population then there will be no hope to save our natural environment. Also the affects of drastic climate change is not the only problems increased by deforestation, but the less and extinction of habit and animal species. For example; the spider monkeys, pandas, toucan, macaw, the poison arrow frog etcetera, the list of animals is quite literally endless these are all animals that will be affected by the deforestation. As their habit has been lost. So we as human beings have to take responsibility and ensure a safe future for our wildlife, and ensure that the zoo is not the only place we can see these animals in the future.
