Although I don't see the food my cat ate before he got sick and we had to put him down...I wondered then & now if he ate some tainted foods. He was eating 9Lives (different varieties bought by the case at a warehouse store). He exhibited all the same symptoms I am reading here that others did. He was 20 years old, so I attributed it all to old age (although he hadn't been ill prior). Then, the recall happened right after. We didn't have him tested, just put him down because he was so ill. I recently was cleaning out and found almost a whole case of the food he wouldn't eat anymore once ill. I was going to donate it to our humane league but am now fearful to do so - I don't want it to make any more cats sick like my Michael was. I did email Del Monte and asked them, am waiting for a response. Anyone know?!?!? Thanks very much.
