DELAVO! ECommerce Platform - Revolutionary, or Not?
59By Gary Jenkins
First where did DELAVO come from, and how did it come to be?
Back
in pre-historic days of Internet Marketing an IMer had many systems out
there to do the different tasks that needed to be done to conduct their
business, but not an "ECommerce Platform". The systems didn't talk to
one another, so centralization, and efficiency suffered, and was just
out of the question. Since they were "systems" they tried to do several
tasks to make life easier, but none did all the tasks very well. They
tended to do one task very well and the rest of the tasks not so well.
What was needed was a full ECommerce Platform, but we are talking about
pre-historic days. That left the IMer with the problem of using more
than one system (that didn't talk to each other), or one system and
just made the best of it until another system (or upgrade) came out
that performed those weak tasks better.
You
have to wonder how did we get it done back then. It wasn't like we were
in control and the system conformed to our needs. No, we had to conform
to the needs of the system, and although it sounds bad now... life went
on, and business was being done. Systems then, and now are just
"Tools", and they can't really do anything. It's up to the craftsman
using the tools to make it work, and how good you get at using the tool
the easier life got. Before the hammer was invented we still hammered
stuff, but it's allot easier with a real hammer. It's the same with the
tools of the day.
Well along came this upstart guy, John Delavera
who dared ask the question, "Why isn't there a system an IMer can use
that offers both efficiency, and centralization"? The answer to that is
really quite simple.
IT'S HARD. IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE!
If history has taught us anything it is that "nothing is impossible".
There's just stuff we haven't done yet, and once its been done you'll
think back and say that wasn't so hard after all. Those of us with
families think how difficult it is to make a decision that the whole
family can agree on, now apply that to all the IMer's out there. How do
you get around a problem like that? YOU DON'T! You build the system and
let the people that use that system tell you want what they like, and
don't like, and you make changes. THAT'S HOW!
So, starting from scratch and building from the bottom up "JVManager1" is released by John an ECommerce Platform, and what a piece of work it turned out to be. Follow the link to read my post on JVManager, and why you need it.
It's
an Inventory Manager, Sales Manager, Customer Manager, and the list
goes on, and on. I use it today, everyday. I can't remember a day that
I haven't logged into JVManager to check on Sales, Affiliates, or if
there were any problem sales, you name it, its in there. Can you tell
its one of my favorites.
Now there is finally a "ECommerce Platform" that will allow you to be "Efficient, and Centralized", but
its only the beginning of the story. As amazing this system is there is
only one way to make it better, and who is better to ask than the
people using that system. And, that's exactly what John does.
Years, and 40 releases later JVManager1 is the system I use each and every day to make my business run. But, after 40 revisions, I think its as good as its going to get. It was time for a major overhaul.
As far as I'm concerned the only thing better is JVManager2, or Fantasos
as its been named. Fantasos is everything JVManager1 is and more. Plus
its built on a new core. There is a list of new features like Kunaki,
'Instant Affiliate Page', Testimonials, Brandible PDFs, Follow-Up
Manager, JV Event Manager, Banner Rotator, and Affiliate Instant Bonus
Delivery. And, that is just some of the features in JVManager2. Some of
the features in JVManager2 are also in JVManager1, but improved in
JVManager2. After all the hard work and time spent listening to
customers he had a system now that could do more than anyone had ever
expected. It was also an 800 pound gorilla. Yes, it is huge, but you'd
never know it. Its size comes from all the features customers ask for.
I
personally never upgraded because I haven't finished exploiting all the
features in JVManager1, but I'm sure one day I'll grow into it. Another
reason I haven't upgraded is because all those features come with a
$3000 price tag, and its worth every cent. But, after 18 revisions of
JVManager2, or Fantasos it was getting bigger and bigger, and everybody
didn't need all the features that came with this system. So, how do you
improve on a system like Fantasos?
You create DELAVO,
and what makes Delavo special is the fact that it has all the features
of JVManager2, but they're not installed. That's right, there is a base
system with all the basic stuff you need to run your business, and then
there are 23 Plug-in you can add to add more features. How cool is
that. With all the Plug-in's installed you have a complete JVManager2
system with all the bells, and whistles.
Large corporations seen the benefit of this type of system long ago when they started offering Employee Benefits Cafeteria style. You only pay for the benefits you need. Well DELAVO is the same way. If you purchased all 23 plug-ins it will cost you about $3000, but how many people need all those features. And, if you find you need a feature later on, you just purchase it and install the plug-in and you have that feature.
This
brings DELAVO into the price range of allot of marketer that otherwise
would not be able to afford the huge price tag, or just don't want to
pay for the extra features they may, or may not need.
So, is DELAVO Revolutionary? You bet your sweet A$$ it is! And, if you haven't downloaded your free copy yet you're crazy. Even if you're not going to use it now (like me), you will use it in the future. Where else can you get this kind of power and pay as you go?
Nowhere!
If you don't see the benefit in DELAVO now, do this... Use the DELAVO link and download your free copy. Then purchase a copy of JVManager1 a real ECommerce Platform for under $100, and start using many of the features you'll see in DELAVO, but implemented in a different way. You'll be able to use those features and see if they will benefit you, and at the same time you could create a list of plug-ins you'll need for DELAVO to suite your taste. Then when your ready start purchasing your plug-in's and move over to your new DELAVO.
