Ingredients
Rice Flour(Ari podi) - 1 cup
Water - 1 1/2 cups
Asafoetida(Kayam) powder- 2 pinches
Oil - 2 tsp
Cocunut -1
sugar -to taste
Salt - As reqd
Method
- Boil water in a pan.Add asafoetida.Make a paste of rice flour and add to the boiling water stirring continuously to avoid lumps.Add salt to taste.Keep stirring, till it thickens. Alternatively, pour the boiling water into the flour and mix with spoon.Allow it to cool.Roll into small balls of the size of marbles.Mix cocunut and sugar well.Put this mixer inside the rice ball. Apply a little oil on your hands while doing so.Steam the balls for 5 minutes.Allow it to cool.
