If you have experienced performance issues, or big lag issues with the new Stardock, Gas powered games title Demigod, your not alone.

It seems that a small bug in the sound setup for Demigod causes the game to lag even on a computer that is perfectly capable of handling the games system requirements. Fortunately a easy fix has been found to work around this. According to Stardocks website you can start the game without initializing the sound, this can fix most in game lag issues.

Here's the workaround procedure:

1.) Browse to your Demigod\bin folder .. if memory serves me correctly this is defaulted to "C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Demigod\bin"

2.) There should be a "demigod.exe" file located in the Demigod\bin folder. Right click this file and select "Send to desktop (create shortcut)

3.) Locate the shortcut you just created on your desktop, should be named something like "Shortcut to Demigod.exe". Right click this shortcut and at the end of the target box type '/nosound'.

4.) The target text box should read similar to this (quotes included) "C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Demigod\bin\demigod.exe" /nosound

5.) Run the game using this shortcut. If all worked correctly, the game should run with no sound and you should experience a performance increase.

I myself have had a in game lagg since i got the game, so I figured that it couldn't hurt to try this out. So I tried it out and what do you know my Sim speed on a 8v8 hi-resolution was 8 and tapped out at 4 when things got really busy on the screen.

WOOT!

Before sending this information, please do the following if you have not already:

1) Update your sound drivers to the latest available.

2) Make sure your motherboard and chipset drivers are the latest available. (These are drivers such as Intel Chipset XXX where xxx is your motherboard chipset.)

Once you have the latest drivers, run Demigod and reproduce the issue. Then exit Demigod and create / obtain the following files. Please attach the following information to your email:

1) Please run the DXDiag.exe utility and save the output to a file.

2) Attach your DemiGodLog.TXT which can be found here:

%userprofile%\My Documents\my games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod\DemiGodLog.TXT
