US Democratic Party Leadership Must Have Been Drunk

Before Drinking to Celebrate the Republican's Unpopularity.....
Victory in the US 2008 Elections was assumed to belong to the Democratic Party last 2006 until early 2007. But to make the elections more exciting and expensive for us; like people driving under the influence (DUI), the Democratic Party Leadership got reckless.
The Democratic Party harmed itself when it presented the voters with two nominees symbolizing causes which are both emotionally significant to American voters. They should have anticipated the passionate responses from supporters and the trend towards negativity and divisiveness. The party should have deliberated within themselves on what cause to prioritize and quietly met and discussed this issue with the Presidential hopefuls before they filed their candidacies. Obama and Clinton could have presented or debated before their party leadership.
Every decision should have been made with the national election in mind. The national election should have always been prioritized in the commitment of resources (time and money) of the party's supporters. Failure of the party to take responsibility for that choice at the start has led to an increase chance of McCain winning. There are supporters of Clinton who would rather vote McCain than Obama in the elections and vise-versa.
Obama represents the political cause of inspirational change and the social cause of racial equality. Clinton represents the political cause of competent governance, healthcare and the social cause of Women's equality. No matter how much both nominees deny it; they symbolize the social cause of racial and gender equality. Both causes greatly affect the daily lives of American people. The Democratic Party and even both nominees have repeatedly stated at one time or another that both can do the job; both are worthy of the presidency so focus has turned to these social issues.
How can you expect a black person, who daily experiences racism in all its forms, not to vote Obama, when there is a chance that his social environment can improve? How can you expect a woman who has experienced the 'glass ceiling'; the issue of having to prove herself more than her male colleagues not to vote for Clinton? How can you say it is not right to vote for these reasons? How can you say that these issues are not as important as their issues on differences in healthcare and approach to foreign policy?
Instead of being too excited and doing the shotgun approach of taking 'all causes' so they can win the election; like all good strategist, the leaders of the Democratic Party should have used the 'target approach." The defect of the party leadership has been highlighted. If there is an internal party call for Clinton to concede; then they have made an undemocratic decision of sacrificing a member instead of the group making a sacrifice of choice at the start. As not to further exacerbate the tense political situation; the ethical thing for them to do is to just "follow the rules" and let the superdelegates vote. If not, Clinton's supporters would feel cheated and will cast their votes to the other party.
With the current mudslinging of both campaigns, the grand social causes of "race and gender" have been replaced by images of the competent Clinton as a fibber & "Truth Photoshopper" while the inspirational Obama has become a caricature of a "Conflicted Uniter" or person racially divided within. McCain, the war hero is starting to look good.

Yes. God Bless America.
Just watched CNN, I forgot the name of economist but we should take notice of what he said. US owes $54 Trillion. Social Security is in trouble. What would happen to the economy now? I do feel that there should be healthcare reforms, hope it could be started. As a developed country , children, injured soldiers should not suffer from lack of healthcare. But with the enormity of our debt, I don't think the Democrats plan to give $30Billion to banks and homeowners being affected by the mortgage crisis is financially feasible. In healthcare, people do not choose to be sick but in giving home loans, the banks made the poor choice to extend credit to those who cannot afford it. I don't think banks are ethical. Remember Enron? Some bank policies need to be changed; their numerous credit card products and lack of due diligence in giving loans is the one creating the problem.

I absolutely agree, it was the Left’s to lose. Then the two gigantic egos steeped in the ring and started beating the fool out of each other. Of course, it was Howard Dean that caused the last election to slip away. The libs should have gotten rid of him years ago. But we conservatives are still bound and determined to help you guys, our donation to the cause…Senator John McCain. Good luck in November, I really am enjoying watching the fight. God bless America.
