Welcome home

Welcome home and god bless, this is for the american combat soldier that is now home and trying to deal with life back in the world. YOU MIGHT THINK your alone but your not, not by a long shot. So lets talk and see if we can all help one another.

OK to start I did 2 tours in Iraq about 7 months apart from each other,,,,,, I am not Active Army,  I am Army National Guard...

After my first tour I wasnt depressed or irritated because my first tour I did admin work barely left the wire.  So coming back was just family reintergration and finding a new job.

My second tour on the other hand.... well lets just say i went outside the wire over 180 times as the senior gunner for a route clearence team.... I was part of the initial push into Sadr City back in April 2008.  Yes I am a combat Vet. that is now thrust into civilian life,  and YES I SUFFER from PTSD and depression.

I am on a host of meds,  I have 2 therapist that i deal with, and I have done a hospital stay, as well as jail time because of my depression and ptsd.

The NC National guard tried very Hard to get us all the help they could,,, Was able to get some treatment at the VA, but mostly use the Vet Center and my private insurance for therapy and meds.

I know this is new im hoping to get some great stuff out to you all.
