An invitation is one of the important aspect of any kind of function. Either a birthday party,or a wedding or a baby shower or any other special occation where we want our friends and family to come together, we need invitation

We can either use a pre-designed invitations available in the store, internet etc. or design our own.

When designing our own invitations, the2 main aspects are considered

• Theme
• Words

Theme:

The theme gives an outline of the message in the invitations. The color , background, images all can be relevant to the theme of the invitation.Hence choose a theme relavant to the occasion.

For example, we can give a pink background with bottles ,strollers and a small baby picture can be used for the baby shower for a girl baby or as an announcement of a new born baby girl. We can use wedding bells,flowers or any images of a specific ritual in a marriage for the wedding invitations

The card will have an eligant look with less images (3/4 big or about 10 small images) rather than a cluster of too many images. Too many images will make the card look clumsy and a strain to eyes.

Avoiding family pictures in the invitation is better. Mostly help in avoiding the miss use of the images after the invitation is disposed.

A white background is very common for most of the occation. If the background color is contrast to the images, it would be very beautyful.A white background with the designed/shining border and a simple, relevant image in the middle gives a professional look.

Words:

Choosing a right word for the right occasion gives a best invitation. You find a quote , suited for the occasion or type in your own words. If the card is designed for the family and friends of all ages, take care to see , that the words doesnot loose respect,gender. Do not write too many paragraphs or like an essay.

Being simple and precise makes a professional card.

Also, it is important to specify, the date,time and location of the occasion clearly.

Home made invitations:

we can make one in hand without designing through computer..cut a chart to the desired size. fold it in the middle. If you are good at drawing, draw the images, borders using, pain or sketch/cryon... If you are good in crafts, cut some designs in a color paper and paste it. you can also cut some relevant images from magazines and paste.
