One of the most threatening conditions that women might have is Breast Cancer, and most women fammiliar with "Mammography", the standart for Breast Cancer screening. There is another effective and traditional way in breast cancer screening it's called "BSE" Breast Self Exam, BSE work best when women are appropiately trained in the procedure, and then follow up with annual "Clinical Breast Exams" or (CBE) from the physicians.

A woman's chance to survival improves when a cancer found early. One additional tool that may detect an issue early is Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging (DITI) that have been approved by FDA. Beware of these signs:

  1. Lumps and Fibrocystic Change, Most Breast lumps aren't cancerous, but the most common sign of breast cancer is lumps. A specific lump in breast area that persist or enlarges progressively need further evaluation physical exam, ultrasound and possible mammography, and removal fluid and tissue or analysis.
  2. Nipple Retraction or Indentation
  3. A marble-like Area under the skin
  4. A change in the Nippl, such as an indrawn or dimpled look, itching or burning sensation, or ulceration.
  5. Any Changes of the size, contour, texture, or temperature of the breast. A reddish, pitted surface like the skin of an orange.

Reduce Breast Cancer Risk

The 10 easy steps recommended by The Cancer Council of NSW to help reduce breast cancer risk

  1. Keep Active
  2. Eat five serves of vegetables and two pieces of fruits daily
  3. Keep your weight within normal range
  4. Drink less Alcohol
  5. Don't smoke
  6. Known your own breast-see the doctor if notice any changes
  7. If you are between 50 and 69 have a free mammogram every 2 years
  8. Keep informed

  9. Have your breast examined regularly by doctor
  10. Menopausal women should consult about all the risk and benefits of taking HRT
