There are a number of options out there for detoxifying, some are more beneficial than others, and in this article I will be addressing the detox foot patch, this goes by other names as well like “detox foot pads” etc. What I always suggest with any product like this is that you look at the different companies, sellers, and options available to you so you can make an informed choice about which-if any, of the products you will ultimately buy and use for keeps. Often a company will send trial samples or you can buy the product at a discounted price, so I recommend trying the product first, and if possible, more than once before you make a decision.

Detox Foot Patches and The Claims Made

The manufacturers and promoters of these various detox foot patches claim that essentially they are modernizing an ancient technique of combining different herbs and minerals to form a concoction that will essentially helps draw out the toxins and heavy metals in your various organs through your feet and ultimately out of your system. The basis for this is on what is often considered to be a pseudoscience, and this belief is called reflexology. Basically the premise is that there are different areas on your feet that correspond to different part of your body or different organs if you will, and that through using these ancient asian concoctions placed in the correct area the toxins will collect and pool at the bottoms of your feet and ultimately be drawn through the pore/skin barrier and into the pad thus eliminating toxins from your body.

The “Proof” Offered by the Makers and Customers

A lot of folks would ask after reading the claims these people make, do detox foot patches work? Well many of the advocates of the products claim they feel a sense of “lightness” and a feeling of being much cleaner then the night before after using the pads. Often the customers and proponents of this product along with the manufacturer of course will cite the fairly dirty and darkly colored sweat, water, grease, and generally discolored pads as proof that said toxins have been sent through the foot and onto the pad, thus making it a successful product. These results are of course debatable however, as there could be more than one cause for this including the ingredients themselves. There is a wood based vinegar included in the ingredients and when this dried product comes in contact with the water and sweat of your feet, it then reconstitutes itself and becomes a dark liquid, and this could very well account for the results people see, along with the other herbs that could also have a similar result when coming into contact with water, despite their general sense of feeling better.

Are these worth trying anyway?

That’s entirely up to you, it’s your time and money after all, considering the cost is low, especially online, it can’t hurt to give them a try and see if one or any of them in fact make you feel, any better beyond a placebo effect.  The fact is your skin is an organ, and even when you are not detoxifying your body, your skin is naturally releasing toxins and metals through your pores and sweat as it is, and even more so when you are cleansing. So it is entirely possible that these foot pads could enhance that process, or they may not, the jury is out on this. As I mentioned at the beginning, I recommend trying the different products available seeing as they cost so little, and really give them and honest try because that’s the only way you will know for sure whether they will work with your body or not.

The Manufacturers

There are two big manufacturers in this particular market, one is Verseo who makes the verseo detox foot patch or verseo detox foot patches, it depends on where you buy it from that determines what the name of the product  ends up being.

The other is Takara and there product is called the takara detox foot patch, although it could go by other titles as well, one of these in particular are also known as japanese detox foot patches. There are many detox foot patch reviews out there so be sure to read them all.
