This particular detox diet also has a large element of a nutrition, especially fruit juices.  One other rather unique aspect is the colonic irrigation, because they use a coffee enema. As is usual, the avoidance of stimulants is avoided, obviously except for the enema!

Detox dieting is a way of cleansing your body from unwanted toxins through the food you eat. Your body has gradually built up deposits of toxins through eating over processed foods etc throughout your life. This kind of detox program follow fairly similar rules. These will include cutting any foods that are contaminating your system with toxins, which include all processed foods. It will also be cutting out alcohol, caffeine, and others stimulants. The main focus for your diet will be on whole foods, fruit and vegetables, fruit juices, low-fat poultry and fish, plenty of fresh mineral water for rehydration, and herbal teas. Sometimes the detox program will suggest taking herbal supplements or herbal remedies.

Another detox program to consider is the Ayurveda natural herbal colonic cleanse. This is an Indian healing system which also deals in colon cleansing. Ayurveda treats the symptoms after it has examined the individual, so that the treatment matches the individual. This is done through your body type. This method of detox is aimed at maintaining a healthy digestive system, which will in turn help problem such as flatulence and indigestion. It can also be used as part of a weight control.

Lastly, I want to talk about how to undertake a safe and sensible detox diet. This is very important because your body will react in different ways to different methods of detox, so you have to be very careful. You have to figure out why you are detoxing in the first place. You have to ask yourself if you are doing it because you feel ill, or are you feeling tired and listless, or is it just because you think it will be benefit your health. So some of the things that you should do before you decide about undertaking a detox program are to consult your doctor and tell him about your interest in the detox program, he will be able to look at your medical history and give you some advise, take in any documents that you have about the detox. Next you should eat plenty of fruit and vegetables, and other whole foods, drink plenty of water and fruit juice, and use the initial detox to push you towards a more sustained nutritional health. Some of the things you should avoid are processed foods, detoxing for longer than three or four days, miracle cures or miracle diets, fasting because this will only make your body crave for food, and never carry on with a detox program that is making you feel ill.

Now that you have seen some of the positives and negatives of a detox program you will probably approach it in a whole new light. The Martha's Vineyard detox diet is probably out of range for most wallets. A detox diet can become a sustainable healthy living plan, and many of its core principles should be applied to your day-to-day nutrition. The Ayurveda natural herbal colonic cleanse is something that will do you no harm because it involves natural ingredients. And it is always sensible to follow safe detox diet guidelines.
