68Do you ever find yourself wanting to know some random facts for a conversation? Here are some silly facts that will boost any bad conversation:
- A dime has 118 ridges around the edge.
- A crocodile can't stick out it's tongue.
- A goldfish has a memory span of 3 seconds. Sorry kids, your pet doesn't know who your are, it's not a pet that's going to love you back.
- A "jiffy" is an actual unit of time. It's 1/100th of a second.
- Almonds are a member of the peach family. (Weird!)
- Babies are born without kneecaps.
- Cats have over 100 vocal sounds. Dogs have only 10.
- Maine is the only state that has just one syllable.
- No word in the English language rhymes with month, orange, silver, or purple. Sorry poets, don't use these words.
- Our eyes are the same size from birth. (that is why some babies look like little aliens)
- Rubber bands last longer when refrigerated.
- The winter of 1932 was so cold that Niagara Falls froze completely solid.
- There are 293 ways to make change for a dollar. (I don't know all the ways)
- Tigers have striped skin, not JUST striped fur. Now I LOVE tigers and I didn't know that. The internet is fascinating.
- Women blink almost twice as much as men. I wonder why that is?
- Winston Churchill was born in a ladies' room during a dance. (Well that makes for a great story about an amazing man.)

they're born w/out kneecaps to make delivery easier. they get them as their bones harden i think. i know the first part is true, not sure if when they get them is right, it's just a guess.
